  1. Oh good point! Gamestop is good usually about upgrading to a collectors edition though so I am safe either way.
  2. Well even though you are bummed, *hugs* you made me happy. I always like when there are number values. Makes it easier to recreate the character if need be. Even if it isn't set in stone yet it will make it easier once it is.
  3. This is no longer my main. Feel free to draw her if you wish though. I will be adding the info for my main soon. I love art in all different styles. I love this idea. Here is some stuff about my character. K'eizaki Shakoo (Key-ZAH-key) Race: Miqo'te, Seeker of the Sun Face: Her face is an oval shape with a more pointed chin. Her orange eyes with cat-like pupils are always filled with wonder and glisten. She usually has a smirk or smile on her face. She has white markings on her cheeks. Her cheeks aren't sunk in nor are they overly chubby. Hair: Sienna with a fair bit of golden blonde highlight to it. She keeps it pushed out of her face but doesn't do much else with it except brush it. It's thick and falls just a touch below her shoulders. Complexion: She has a golden tanned complexion with no real blemishes or marks that stand out. Body: Average height. Her shoulders are narrow and sets the stage for the rest of her frame/ small bone structure. Her waist is defined but her hips are not overly large. Her arms and legs have some muscle definition to them though. Her bosom is noticeable but certainly not large and falls into proportion with her slender body. Personality: Optimistic, adventurous, naive, curious, humanitarian. Fashion: Prefers suedes and leathers but will also don white mage robes if that is what is needed. The brighter the better. The more fringe, feathers, buttons, the better. She doesn't like anything made from delicate or fancy material unless she is going to a ball which rarely happens. Hobbies and potential scenes: Gazing up at the sky Fishing Archery Martial arts Playing a pan flute Climbing trees And the real life actress to play her would probably be Jennifer Aniston. Here are some screenies
  4. I stopped into Gamestop and Pre-ordered and paid in full my copy of FFXIV:ARR for the PC. It is 29.99 vs the 59.99 PS3 version. I can't wait for phase 3...PLEASE let me get picked. lol.
  5. My character K'Iezaki would be fun, bright, sweet, and a rainbow of colors. Rainbow cotton candy with sprinkles!
  6. Yep. I have always wanted to play a Seeker although I love both clans.
  7. Well I will be staying more true to the usual Keeper traits since I already sketched her and now its set in stone in my mind I think it is nice that they allow the variation. I think it would be helpful though to know which traits are typical and which aren't. It will make it more difficult for Final Fantasy Noobs to make their character fit the backstory if they don't know the previous traits. But I guess as they say strange things can happen in genetics.
  8. I haven't sketched in a long time, but am quite pleased at how my character turned out.
  9. I was talking about the hair. Sorry I wasn't more specific. Thank you!
  10. What about white? Which type has white or do they both?
  11. What are the limitations/characteristics in a color of a Miqo'te in relation to him/her being a Seeker or Keeper? For instance are there certain colors that only a Seeker can be? Is there a way to tell which type they are by appearance? Can your ears and hair be different colors? I am hoping to sketch my character but want to make sure that I don't draw something that can't be done in game.
  12. I am glad you started this thread! My RP and game play are a woven tapestry. One always compliments and meshes with the other. My character likes to help people and is fun and playful. I haven't played FF before so bare with me.... I figure conjurer/maybe white mage for heals and eventually heading into bard because of her deep appreciation for music and beauty. She would also be interested in a monk fighting style because of the beauty and free feeling in the martial art of it. Fishing is a main part of her tribe so she will have that skill also alchemy because she is curious how things fit together and react to each other.
  13. I would like to be a part in the plot but would need to be on the opposing side of the devils since my character is good alignment. She isn't much of a leader either but would fight along someone for the good of the world.
  14. From what I have read here: http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Category:Miqo%27te The males nuhn don't necessarily have a harem but they are the breeding male and thus that implies that they breed more then one female. It doesn't say how the females the nuhn breeds to are chosen. It could differ by tribe or be the males choice, females choice, etc. Also it doesn't specify that the challenge for nuhn is strictly a physical challenge. The nuhn thing only effects breeding so females could essentially love and be in a relationship with a specific tia, just that breeding is for the Nuhn for the strength of the tribe the tia would allow the Nuhn his breeding rights. Kind of like a King in medieval times having his way with females under order of the law. That's how I see it anyway.

  19. I just started playing Neverwinter and it seems like the only RP is in the tavern. I have heard it has good RPers but haven't found any. Maybe I am just not high enough lvl to be where the RP is. I will say to avoid Tera. The community there is horrible from what I found. I heard Rift was good as well and it goes f2p in July.
  20. LIke some of the others, I don't have any character info yet. I plan to play a Miqo'te female and am working on her profile. RP Style: Amount of RP: I am very very rarely not in character. I find that the best RP is one that fills the whole spectrum of the game. While "on the field RP" is my favorite, I enjoy variety and often attend RP events and visit taverns from time to time. I vary from heavy to light RP depending on who I am RPing with. Views on Combat & Injuries: I have yet to find a combat system that I am happy with. I think the actual skills, backstory, and actual level need to be taken into account not just someone's RP skills in a fight. To me everything about the character (skills armor etc) should count towards IC combat. I prefer things to be worked out through OOC chat as they progress. No one should maim or kill a player's character. I dislike fights where the role of a healer is downplayed to be more difficult than a mage casting a spell. It's a magic world and thus heals should be treated like all magic. I also won't agree to a character doing something that their skill set doesn't include unless they have a valid story reason for it and it is explained prior. Views on IC Romance: Romance is the spice of the RP world. The best romance is one that develops through a friendship and traditional fight side by side keeping each other safe. I tend to stick to heterosexual relationships and play female characters. (Nothing against gay or bi relationships I just can't get into them.) ERP - Can really add to the "feel" of the IC relationship. Detailed or "black curtain" are both cool for me. I am happily married and my husband is comfortable and kept in the loop. The main thing is that the partner understands that it is strictly a character thing. Views on non-romantic RP: I love developing deep and solid IC friendships as much as a romance, sometimes even more so. The best are when you have similiar play schedules and can really hang out in the game as much as possible. Family: I like involving my OOC friends and husband in my character's stories (with their permission) and often they play a relative. Views on Lore: No one should be expected to know everything. I think most people get too crazy about throwing down the lore "bible". Gentle explanations to people who lore break suffice for me. In the end they have the last say as to what they do. I don't disown people who lore break as long as they don't force me to do the same. I do try to stick to the lore and have trouble deviating from the "usual" personality types of a race. Views on chat functions: My biggest pet peeve is people talking OOCly without brackets in /say. I prefer an IC guild chat (either through communicators or magical devices but you need to RP that you are talking into them. Don't let guild chat be a metagaming channel for information). People limit themselves too much when it comes to IC and OOC chat. You can usually find an IC way to explain or talk about any game item, experience, etc. if you try hard enough. I keep /tells and party chats for OOC. I turn off zone, trade, and general chats because it kills my immersion and view of society. Other Info Country: USA, EST Login Times: Weekdays are sporadic in the afternoon and study 9PM EST to about Midnight. Weekends I am usually on more often but it is still some what sporadic. Contact Info: message me here or http://www.enjin.com/profile/425213 (I love enjin!) I love being social and will happily chat your ear off.
  21. I apologize if this isn't in the right place. Reading all the tribal stuff got me thinking about how I want my Miqo'te tribe to function and I want to make sure it seems ok for the lore. It's a tribe centered around a fishing lifestyle. The majority of the people live there but young adventurous adults are allowed to live outside of the tribe if they wish. Everyone is expected to return twice a year at a set date to gather and this is when the Nuhn are chosen along with who they choose to breed. If you are chosen you stay, otherwise you are allowed to head back out. Seem like it works?
  22. Welcome! Everyone tends to have their own styles. It is really hard to judge any situation because we never have all the facts. We don't know the extent if the lightning was just a light show and he was faking to be hurt and just a bad RPer. Either way no harm was done since it didn't affect you personally. Not the way I personally would have RPd that situation but like someone else said, what ever makes it fun for the individual.
