Well, I think there's a possibility he could've been involved in some way. About when would this have happened?

I guess this needs more explaining. If you want the long story, you can read my character's wiki. The TL;DR is that my character was an agent for Garlemald in the eight years leading up to the Calamity. During that time he had been sent to kill a lot of people. Now he wants to make up for those deaths the best he can by apologizing and giving closure to the family members and loved ones of those he's killed. If anyone is interested in this, please feel free to either let me know in this thread, or just send me a PM, and we can go over it from there. Also, if I happen to be on, you can send a /tell in-game to Valen Stalhart. I'm pretty flexible with time at the moment, so I can likely RP with most timezones, but I guess it is worth bearing in mind that I am on the East Coast. I hope some of you find this interesting, and I look forward to speaking and RPing with all those who want to take part in this.

I. Basic Info Character:Valen Stalhart Linkshells:N/A Primary RP linkshell:N/A II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium-Heavy. I get pretty serious in RP, but with that said, I do enjoy raiding and progression. So unless I'm queuing up for a dungeon, it's 90% likely that I'm in character. Views on RP combat and injuries: I personally prefer for combat to be narrative, and forgo any use of /random. If a fight is going to have a decisive winner and loser, then I prefer for the result to be decided beforehand by the players involved, and for both players to respect each others characters during the battle (Example: Just because it's been decided that you're going to win, that doesn't mean you should no-sell all of your enemy's attacks and then just knock them out with a single hit). As for injuries, they happen, but unless they're vital, I'm not likely going to take them into account after the battle is over. Views on IC romance: I personally don't have a problem with it, but currently the prospect of romance is the last thing on Valen's mind. That's not to say it couldn't happen, but if it does, then the lines between IC and OOC are to never ever be crossed. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): There's nothing wrong with having friends, but any family Valen has is far, far, far away right now. Views on lore: I'm cool with lore bending to an extent, but I do prefer to keep my RP lore friendly or at least within the realm of possibility. However, I do understand that FFXIV has a lot of lore behind it, and I won't hold it against anybody if they don't know every single little factoid about FFXIV's lore. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I'll use /say, /em, and /tell for RP. I also normally use quotes to signify what is being spoken in character. III. Hey, I've been on this site for a bit, but I figured it was probably time to say hello. I only play one character currently, Valen Stalhart (Valen's Wiki Page). You can find me on Balmung, and I'm pretty much always up for RPing. It's nice to meet all of you, and I'm sure there will be plenty of interesting conversations to be had.
