We'll be delving deeper into RP relationships and RL relationships in a later episode. I think it's an interesting topic. I need to actually get through all of that thread when I have time. But we were more focused on whether or not our characters would be involved in relationships. The reasoning behind that for Jared and I had a lot to do with the races and personalities that we chose. I highly anticipate talking about this more when we do the relationship episode. I have a feeling my views won't be received well by some. As far as breaking up the forum, I think it would help. I'd much rather read 6 2-page topics than a single 12-pager. I agree with you on avoiding Sephiroth. I'm afraid I can't go along with Mason's reverse psychology strategy.

Thanks everyone for coming on! I should have time to edit the episode shortly. Oh, and Gims! If you would like to talk production with us sometime, we would love to do so. I do nearly all of the editing but my experience is quite as terribly impressive as your's. We tried recording all of our audio locally and edit them together (so each person would have their own audio track; I can even out the volumes) but we ran into issues. As far as microphone quality, Andrey and I both have the Audio Technica AT2020. I find it's a pretty solid mic for podcasting uses. Anyhow, I'm certain your advice would be useful. We are all on skype frequently so hop on there sometime and we'll have a chat. Shoot us an email with your skype account name and we'll add you.

I use wordpress on my blog so I'm fairly familiar with it . I would have hosted on my site but I have very little storage space (it's a free host). I'm pretty busy with work and 4th of July coming up but maybe you could get together with us on skype or aim early next week to figure something out before Episode 3?

Hello, hello. The RPCV has gone pretty well so far but we would like to be on iTunes for greater convenience. We could use some suggestions on where to host our episodes that would allow us to post to iTunes. So far, we've hosted on a site called archive but it lacks an RSS feed (required for iTunes setup). I checked out Podbean but it severely limits bandwidth and file size on a free account. We would prefer a free method if at all possible. My website does not have much storage space; otherwise, I would host it. So, what do you guys think? Any Ideas?

I've always wanted to learn Japanese for the sole purpose of communicating with more players on FFXI. Is there a way to type using kanji? I assume you used the Latin alphabet (Romaji)?

To give you guys an update, we recorded the first episode of the RPCV podcast yesterday. I'll be editing and reviewing it to possibly publish it after work this evening. I hope you guys look forward to hearing it. I know we had fun doing it :approve:. Oh, and we are all three using lower end recording equipment so obviously our sound quality is going to be less than crystal clear. It is likely that we'll greatly improve this with new equipment by episode 2 or 3. I know Mason/Andrey and I both have high quality mics in the mail now (or will have them mailed soon). One last thing, we pretty well used our real life names throughout the podcast. I think I referred to Andrey's future character, Mason, intentionally a few times because I was indeed talking about his character. I think the three of us are still in agreement that we would like to primarily use our real life names to avoid affecting the views of our future character's in-game personalities. Thanks for notifying us of new drivers out Cas. I was able to update my card and gained about 200 score on each test. At least I know on medium-low settings I should have a fluid experience. I think I'm still going to upgrade my card to a Geforce GTX 470. I only own an xbox 360 so why mess with a PS3 when I can buy the 2nd best nvidia card for the same price and have a better experience? Heh.

Maybe fullscreen will help but I'm still a bit concerned and confused. My computer is pretty solid in my opinion and only a month or so old. I retested my scores this morning: 876 high/1661 low. The high resolution did look admittedly choppy, which upsets me if that is how the game will run. I purchased this computer for my video editing and production but playing ffxiv at high settings was the only reason I went for a stronger video card. Here are my specs: Intel i5 3.20 ghz (4 cores) nvidia geforce gt230 with 1.5gb RAM 8GB DDR3 RAM Windows 7 64-bit

I'm not sure what is going on. I scored a 1661 but my desktop should be more like 3000-4000 range at least. I've got an nvidia geforce gt 230 1.5gb vram.

I play a bunch of different games at the moment. I have a YouTube Channel and a blog that I post let's play videos of so that keeps me pretty busy. I'm currently playing through Breath of Fire III, Digimon World 2 (I've been doing the Digimon World series because they are hilariously bad), and Final Fantasy VI (FF3 in America). When I'm on my Xbox 360, I play NBA Live 10, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Halo 3 (Halo Reach Beta just ended :cry: ) and Modern Warfare 2 sparingly.
