[align=center]The Nomadic Seeker[/align] W'erryn is a self-exiled Seeker of the Sun, hailing from the small-but-mighty Wolf Tribe. She no longer has ties to her tribe, and spends her days wandering, accepting hunts to pay for her meals, etc. She tends to be very friendly and flirtatious at first, but when others have actually tried to get to know her she kind of gets awkward. She tries to keep things very superficial, but deep down craves that social interaction. She's not a loner by nature, after all. When I'm online, I like to actually play the game. I'm a medium to heavy RPer, but also enjoy shorter posts. If you've got a good plot hook, toss it at me! I won't turn away a solid idea (unless I'm maxed out on partners OTL). Romance, drama, action - I play it all! I just ask that it develops ICly, and that it makes sense. Hello~! So this will probably sound familiar... I took a long hiatus from XIV (and this forum, whoops), but I'm hoping to get back into it soon. I used to RP a fair bit on Balmung, and I really miss it. As it is I RP on Discord solely, but have also RP'd via Google Drive. I have my highest character (51 BRD) on Balmung, but I'm solely using her for roleplay. My main character(s) are on Faerie - a Lalafell and a Au Ra. I decided to use the suggested form, since I'm always so bad with introductions. =P [align=center]_______________ [/align] --MMORPG background I played Dream of Mirror Online for a short spell, and I watched a friend play XI a few times... other than that, I have no experience with MMOs. XIV is my first real experience. I picked ARR up when it dropped, and have played it off and on throughout the years. My sub is currently expired, but as I mentioned I'm going to be re-upping soon. I don't have Stormblood, nor have I beaten the HW storyline. --RP experience I've been roleplaying forever, and am very comfortable with different styles (you want to type paragraphs? Let's do it! More of a one-liner type? I can dig that!). I've roleplayed a lot of different genres and maturity levels. I've basically run the gamut. I prefer to RP out of game because I want to play the game when I'm online. --Character ideas/info My RP character is a female Seeker of the Sun named W'erryn Zhol. Class-wise she's a BRD, but IC she's more of the nomadic hunter type. She tends to be very friendly and flirtatious at first, but when others have actually tried to get to know her she kind of gets awkward. She was cast out of her tribe, so she tends to keep others at arm's length. I've been developing her character for years, and she's pretty solid IMO. However, the muse does not not always mind the mun, haha. --How did you learn about the coalition? The FFXIV subreddit, lol. --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? I'm aiming for medium. :thumbsup: --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I like candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach... =P I have three cats, a male betta fish (I NEED AN ASSASSIN FRY OMG), and I work in a cube farm. I love to read and write... Uhm...FFVI is my favorite in the series. I'm pretty much an open book, so if anyone wants to ask any questions, I'm open! Hello~ :moogle: I have two characters (Wiki links are in my sig, but they're both massive WIPs), and would love to roleplay with you. :3 My Kokari would compliment any of your four nicely. It would be nice to have her interact with another Au Ri! I know next to nothing about them, so flushing out her character is a bit of a challenge... Erryn would also likely get along with any of your characters, though I think she'd be more inclined towards either of your males. Perhaps her and Tsetseg were hired to take down a mark? Or maybe she comes across Q'rhin while he's traveling?

I've yet to RP with someone RPing as a canon NPC, but I used to RP as Rogue in a Twitter-based Marvel'verse RP, and I enjoyed it immensely. It was fun interacting with other Marvel characters and creating stories that suited headcanons we all had, etc. There was no pressure to build this amazing OC because the character's backstory, personality, etc already exist. I would have no issues RPing with a NPC, as long as they're still good roleplayers. Someone in this thread mentioned that we have no idea what SE has planned for NPCs, hence why they're NPCs, and that's true...but so? I'd LOVE to roleplay with a Thancred. We could easily say it was pre-ARR and just have fun with it. I also think it's cool when I see a NPC running around. Like how fun would it be to run a dungeon with Minfilia (actually that wouldn't be fun at all because I don't really like her haha)?

:moogle: Bumpu~ I've found two wonderful RP partners here that are keeping my Erryn on her toes, but I've got another lass that I'm looking to roleplay with as well! So I'm still looking for more RP partners. :3 I don't have a Wiki for her yet, buuut... Kokari Yushite; SCH/magic-y type. I fantasia'd her from a lalaboo to an Au Ri. She tends to be very serious and prefers to be alone. I don't really have a background for her yet (would totally be willing to explore that with anyone!), but her personality is pretty set.

W'erryn; Erryn would have a single pokemon companion, and that would be Zoroark. Yayoda; Her pokemon partner would be a Pikachu, which would of course eventually evolve into a Raichu. I don't think she'd have a type preference. She'd be a very casual trainer. Kokari; Hmm...this one's kind of difficult to peg. Kokari wouldn't rely heavily on her pokemon companion, so it'd really be more like a pet than anything. She's be a pokemon researcher though! My little bookworm...lol. She'd probably have a mawile or something. Faei; I've gotten nowhere with my elezen lady, so I'm going to say her partner would be my personal favorite, Growlithe. I have no idea what type she'd favor, but she'd most likely probably be a gym leader.

I cast my vote for elezen! What type of characters do you typically like to play as? Or are you throwing caution to the wind and totally changing things up? :3

Balmung and Gilgamesh are the two heavy-hitters when it comes to RP, but I've heard that Jenova has a nice RP population, too. Typically the servers will open for new players riiiight after maintenance (timing is very important), but other than that the only way to get into a full server is by paying for a transfer. OooOOoOo~ Serdt sounds really interesting! That's a character concept I've not yet heard for a male. I'd definitely be interested in seeing how they'd get on. :3 PMs are good for me, as are Google Docs (I would actually almost prefer this, as I like to create folders for my RPs for images, a brain dump doc, and the actual RP doc).

Hello! I'm back at it after a lengthy hiatus, and looking to dive back into roleplaying. I am available in-game, but I am more readily available via Skype, e-mail, or PM here. Like many others here, I'm looking for some new RP partners. I've posted in the player directory already, but if anyone has any questions or anything, please ask! What I'm looking for: A long-term RP partner/buddy. I'm totally not against walk-ups or casual encounters at all, but would ideally like to find someone that would want to try for something a bit more in-depth and plot-driven. Honestly, I'm open to just about anything. I miss RPing damnit! Idea-wise I'm pretty open. I don't have any itches that need to be scratched, so throw some ideas my way! A bit about me: I'm in the Central time zone. I work full-time in a cube farm, aaand that's about it haha. I have two cats and a male betta fish. Since I work a full-time gig I'm mainly available in the evenings in-game, but I'll also be available during the day via the other things I mentioned (shhh I RP at work). I keep a somewhat busy schedule, but I still have plenty of free time for RP. :3 [align=center]____________________[/align] My main RP character is a female Seeker on Balmung, but I also have two much-less thought-out female lalafells on Faerie. My miqo girl has a Wiki that is a massive WIP (it's all in my head, I just need to dump it out onto the page). Here's a bit about her though... W'erryn Zhol is a tribe-born miqo'te that has been exiled from her clan for challenging her nunh and being defeated. She left behind her a Keeper mother, an older brother (W'zhot Tia), and her father (W'zhol Nunh). The reason behind her exile is shameful, and it isn't something that Erryn likes to talk about much. In fact, she doesn't even publicly acknowledge her tribe anymore; only a very select few know her full and true name. She is loathe to discuss her past, but sometimes finds it hard to dodge because she bears a very noticeable scar from being defeated by her father in combat: she lost an eye. Erryn survived in the alleys of Ul'dah for a spell before having a "come to Hydaelyn" moment with herself and setting herself straight. She traveled to Gridania and enrolled in the archer's guild to re-learn the art of archery (in her tribe she was a very skilled huntress). Some time passed, and eventually she embarked out into the world as a wandering hunter/bow-for-hire. She doesn't tend to stay in one place for too long, but she does frequently travel to Ul'dah, as it was the place of her rebirth in so many ways. Personality-wise, she has many faces. At first she seems very coy, witty, and overall rather friendly. She can be flirtatious, and her quick wit is nearly as sharp as the daggers at her hips. Upon further prying though, she becomes a little more withdrawn. Having been more or less on her own for as long as she has, she finds it difficult to get close to others. She is ashamed of her past, and fears judgement, so she tries to keep people at arm's length. She desperately seeks companionship though, as she grew up in a decent-sized tribe.

Yesss, throw something at me on Faerie. I've yet to find any other RPers (but I'm hearing rumors that they exist!), and my poor little lalas are so lonely...=P

Hi! I think either Kazha'a or Arshtat would go well with female Seeker, W'erryn. I also have a a serious little lala that I think would be fun to pair up with Ellere. Erryn was born to her tribe but exiled, and is now a nomadic hunter/blade for hire. She tends to keep to herself but plays the part of the social butterfly well when in a crowd. I definitely think she and Kazha'a could prove great to roleplay with, but I can see her and Arshtat getting on quite well as well. I'm available for in-game RP, but I too prefer Skype. I think there's a lot of similarities between our roleplay styles, so I think we'd get on great! I'm definitely interested in getting something with a deeper plot going over the long haul. Views on RP combat and injuries: Communication is key here IMO. It's no fun RPing combat if one of the character's is a combat "master" and untouchable. I repeat: communication is key to successfully roleplaying combat. No god-modding, no making yourselves untouchable, etc. Views on IC romance: As long as it stays IC, I'm all for it. I actually love romanctic tones to my RPs. I like for it to develop though, and not just "BAM! Hi, I love you let's make babies." Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Bring it on! :3 I love making connections with other characters, and if we can put our heads together to make some awesome backstories - great! Views on lore: I love the lore in XIV, and I prefer to abide by it as much as possible in roleplays.
