We will be no means rush people, the idea is to have a EU FC who will do various things such as raids for those that are awake during EU times whether they live in the EU or just awake at awkward times. We probably will even try to get some rp going in the fc with the fc as a group if there is interest for such. Anyhow i believe we came to the conclusion last night that it will be more leaning towards the casual side of things rather than hardcore pve and pvp. 1. What do you think is a main character? Your main character is the one you decide is. There is nothing that says you can't have a level one as your main character. However if you don't put time and effort into the specific char i don't think it really count whatever you call it. So im guessing the simple awenser is either the one you have got the most progress with OR the one you have put most time in lately 2. What do you think makes a character an alternate character? Less progress, less time spent. Its a fine line. But the one you spend more time on at the time is concidered the main. 3. Do people have a responsibility to make certain "mains pair with mains" if you sense an interesting relationship (friends/rivals/lovers/enemies/long-lost relatives) forming or is it okay that someone's just not going to be around at random or for long periods of time? Sure it sucks if someones dissapears on you, but by no means do anyone have a responsibility. If someone infact does go inactive, id probably treat it as they went away on like a trip or just decided to be a douche and ignore me. 4. Have you ever discovered that your main was paired off in one of those situations with someone's alt? They just didn't play them at all or played other characters? Did it stall out your story? I can't speak for others, but im a lazy guy in the sense that id rather put all of my effort into one character. 6. You "Should" get a preorder key when you preorder, this key will give you access to 2 items and headstart. However it is possible i guess, that the keys themselves have ran out. Since i believe the keys are in a limited quantity. However i find it unlikely that for example the Square enix store would have none left. As for other places *shrugs* Perhaps. -Xeon

Problem with marauder is that it counts as a tank not a DD, Sure you can probably get into a group as DD if you find people outside of DF. However marauders are expected to tank. So if you end up with a group as a marauder with a Gladiator or something, you'll just compete for agro as marauders got mostly skills that generate enmity. Every character is complex in its own way, THM needs to bind for example and they problably have their own rotations with fire and ice or what it is. So i would suggest try them rather than asking for what is easy. By simply leveling, if you follow the combo patterns that the skills say you'll probably do fine. Besides its easy enough to learn. -Xeon

Do note thats the mobs there is 32-35, unless you got north east where the mobs are 40+ something. Should cross the bridge at red labyrinth and follow the cliff wall down unless you wanna run through the 40's. Edit: Just noticed levels showed on map, woops . -Xeon

How about listing Lore that needs working on, then a person or a team of 2 or so can pick that specific topic to work on, when someone has picked a topic their name is added behind it? Ex - Gladiator's guild - Xeon - WIP Cactuar - Steve - Complete Ul'dah - George - Complete(?) (insert more topics here - user - status) (insert more topics here - user - status) (insert more topics here - user - status) (?) meaning it might need more work or a look through to see if its actually done. And so on. that way we can see what there is to work on, whose is currently working on them, what is done and who completed it. Its good time now ahead of the ob to start listing topic so people can perhaps starts looking for facts during the ob. -Xeon

I don't got any masters or anything in... anything. But perhaps its a matter of tradition vd outside influence? I mean perhaps the more influential older tribes go by the old ways whilst the younger tribes and newer generations would go about it like what we would look at as the normal, With love and marriage and all that. Think its the same about homosexuality and out of race/clan relations, its frowned upon by the elder tribes whilst its more accepted by the not so old. While there obviously is influence from the outside, it is still "Possible" that what is said in the first post is still true in some regions. -Xeon

Thanks for the detailed awnser about Block rate vs Block rate. About Threat generation, i played gladiator up to level 35, did every instance multiple times. And i can't really say i had any problem with the Threat, Only sometimes when some dps strayed from said targets so i had to tank multiple targets at once. I played through plenty of Fate's both the kind with high hp "bosses" and those with more wave like and neither there i can't really say that i was loseing threat. I had pretty much placed 8 stat points or something all in VIT. So while i guess STR can help with Threat generation, im not certain the numbers its about will help "THAT" much. My thought is rather than throwing everything into one stats, as a tanking class you shall split up the points like 2 str, 2 vit, 1 agi every 5 points. But thats just my opinion To conclude, from my experience if you lose agro you probably either have a bad rotation or bad tactics whilst doing so (No offense intended). On a side note, Several of the fate's i did was obviously some with annother tank whether it be a warrior or a glad, I never really did lose agro. -Xeon

Well i had already planned on joining a FC for game content, and linkshells for RP. Raiding and endgame is a huge part of my mmo experience, so i thought it best to have a nonrp FC and RP LS's. -Xeon

Right, ignore the post above. So ive looked at some old maps and i see that Crescent cove aren't on them. So i wonder, Was crescent cove built up after 1.0? During the 5 years? And due to this find ive retracted the information of my character living there to leave it more unspecified "A small Fishing village outside of Ul'dah". I also ask for advise whether its wise to say anything specific where my character lives/grow up. It really helps with "home" rp to have a specific location such as Crescent cove. I would love to say he grew up and live there. But i really don't want to go stepping on toes saying my family lived there before and the small village formed around them.
