I fall into that space in between heavy and intermediate. I am also what I like to call a organic rper who tries to avoid scripting as much as possible. Strongest Skills: My strengths are building atypical characters with a free formed background from the lore provided for races and classes. However, I am not only limited to this, I like to give constructive criticism as well.

Welcome welcome! Glad to have you among our ranks of Roleplayers in this game. Ditto from the post above, if you have any questions feel free to ask. A few of us have played several FF games and not playing previous ones won't hurt you one bit seeing as most worlds are isolated from one another and don't transfer much lore besides a few re-occurring enemies. :chocobo: And don't worry about spelling chocobo right. I don't think I spell it the same way twice unless its within the same sentence.

Now that I've gotten more of a footing with the game and I am finding the lore easily I can be a mentor. If anyone wants some help I am able to do so! Just PM me! :chocobo: I've been rping for a long time and in many MMOs. If you come to me know I am a heavy rper and will be giving you the perspectives of such as well I've always rped in MMOs so that may affect my help as well. I believe I am friendly and approachable!

Can you do a write up of what the tavern looks like that people can always see?

So I am putting a little blip here because I am trying to make a character that escapes my normal bounds of characters (sell swords and mercenaries) since this type of idea never seems to generate me any kind of rp around it. I normally suck basically at being a sword for hire So what I am looking for I guess is help making a combat capable character that could be seen out on adventurers but is an armor smith or miner as his main stay profession. This is really hard for me >.> MMO/RP experience: I've been rping in many games (WoW, Swtor, Aion, Rift, and smaller MMOs like Neverwinter and DDO) as well some on forums in genre's like Cowboy bebop, ME, League of legends, etc. This has all taken me about 2 to 3 years to do. My main experience is in roleplaying noble knights, protectors, and silent drifters. My most recent adventures have been in Gw2, I played a silent mercenary that had been crippled from the destruction of his wardens (yes he was a sylvari) and I played a mad minded Asuran inventor that kept doing lots of research on dragon corruption however this character was not combat capable and just ran from combat situations. What I am looking for? I want help combining these two ideas into a wildwood Elezen that I want to be sociable but yet value time alone. I want him to be combat capable and experienced in combat but not have it as his main profession. I would prefer something that is not a pure mage and would prefer melee specialty ( I like to combine game mechanics with Rp to try best to create a very visible idea of what my character is in-game and in rp). Reasons for asking for help/mentor: I want help to create a believable character within lore bounds that has reasonable skills without being too...powerful or anything of that sort. I need help programming believable weaknesses that aren't as extreme as in my previous characters. As well I would like someone to discuss and learn lore with because I always learn it better if I have someone to help me along the way. Miscellaneous Info: I will be playing on Gilgamesh since some RL friends will be rolling there and they do not like Legacy stuff. I have no experience really with FFXIV: ARR lore even though I've read a lot of the main FFXIV site. I will be looking through the mentor list when I get a little more time to do stuff and didn't waste most of my time updating my stuff on the site. I am on that line between a heavy and medium rper. I am in the U.S PST time zone ((GMT -7:00))

So is Gilgamesh going to have many rpers? I am having some trouble making a decision even though my friends are rolling here.

I have to say I was thinking this for my Elezen since I wanted someone that liked a solitary life yet was friendly and often around cities. Admittedly I realized I was trying to use a bazooka to kill a squirrel. I really doubt the personalities are that rigid in the societies but I still might do it because my friend is making a duskwight. Thank you for the link! And really doubt this is far fetched since love and lust conquer most social stigmas. Specially seeing as it is only a clan mixing.

I think the main thing is I am trying to establish a character. I don't know what race or what not to make yet. I know what class I want. I know the personality I want just having trouble deciding the personality. I've never had this before Usually I find the race before all of this. Thank you for the welcome!

Hi! I'm Bauldric. I am getting ready to run from Tyria to Eorzea (Sorry if that's wrong still getting all the names down). I am some that walks the line between the Heavy rper brand and medium since I am almost always IC but some days I just need a break. I have been playing MMOs for near 10 years now. Though, rp eluded me till the last 2 or 3 years. I used to say 5 but the first two were spent mulling over what the heck rp was and why I would want to do it. I am very new to the FF MMO scene. I always wanted to play FF11 and by the time I had the ability too well...I couldn't anymore and I haven't really played an FF game since FF12 was released (My favorite so...take that for what you will). I was really debating coming to this new FFXIV because it sounded amazing but I had a guild and a "life" on Gw2 until recently. As well, the beta utterly sold me to playing it. It felt amazing. Like...its hard to put my finger on but the whole world lit up when I found out I could just sit in a chair in this game. So, now that that is all behind me I am looking to start fresh in a new MMO and start trying to work my way into the core of this. I am going to be...really trying hard to pick up lore before I start playing the game but I like to learn the lore through the game and not wiki's so we will see how it goes.
