Dat Oni Posted May 2, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 2, 2015 So I was doing the MSQ for 2.55, specifically, An Unexpected Ambition, where Tataru joins the Arcanist's Guild, and I noticed what has to be a variant in the quest dialogue. This is when you talk to Thubyrgeim as an Arcanist, I believe... So you are aqquainted with our newest member. An arcanist of your experience must see that her potential is somewhat lacking. Nevertheless, she would not be denied, and goes now to undertake her first trial: a simulated inspection of three crates. Doubtless you recall similar training under K'lyhia's supervision? A thought occurs to me-why not oversee Tataru's training yourself? Given your relationship with the girl and your familiarity with the task, I think you the ideal choice. You need only head to the cliffs south of the Zephyr Gate, as before, and observe at a distance. I thought it was worth mentioning. Link to comment
SunTzu7 Posted May 2, 2015 Share #2 Posted May 2, 2015 There's a few different dialogues for meeting the Dragoon guy in Ishgard too. Completing the Dragoon quest has him gushing about you for a bit, starting them has him think it's fitting that the two of you should meet here, and not starting them basically has him saying 'sup. Kage Posted May 2, 2015 Share #3 Posted May 2, 2015 Yeah it's I believe if you started the ACN class quests. probably finished the level 5 or 10 one. Link to comment
Lilia Lia Posted May 13, 2015 Share #4 Posted May 13, 2015 That plotline was so heartwarming. I started as ACN and I remember wondering if maybe the guild Tataru signs up with is the same as your starting class and varied from person to person. That would have been neat. I couldn't help feeling a little like Tataru was trying to emulate me. It sure brought back memories watching her do the starting ACN quest. Link to comment
Kellach Woods Posted May 13, 2015 Share #5 Posted May 13, 2015 I would have loved to see Tataru the Marauder. Link to comment
Desu Nee Posted May 13, 2015 Share #6 Posted May 13, 2015 Tataru is downright adorable. She could be doing slaughter and I would still d'aaah. Then scream in fear as I get slashed to pieces. Link to comment
K'nahli Posted May 13, 2015 Share #7 Posted May 13, 2015 I was absolutely terrified for Tataru once things hit the fan because I suddenly started thinking about how sweet and warm the finality of that quest was and how it almost seemed like a farewell.... plus the fact that Tataru was left a note back at the Rising Stones, suggesting that she would be there alone and unprotected. I believe the arcanist/scholar/whatever Tonberry in Wanderer's Palace says something different if you also have the class/job unlocked once you pass him after the first boss. Link to comment
