Aldotsk Posted October 29, 2015 Share #26 Posted October 29, 2015 I can't no-hit all of the bosses yet I gave up on that achievement, and I still wonder to myself how my friend is able to do them so easily. ._. Also I kind of wonder how many people DID like X7. Link to comment
Miss Gaz Posted October 29, 2015 Author Share #27 Posted October 29, 2015 *NERD RAGES ON NOT SEEING LEGENDS ON THE VOTE POLL* I like Legends 1, 2, and X1~X6 as well as Megaman 2, 5,6, and 7 and some Power Battle arcades. Also I like Zero series (even though they are mad annoyingly hard) I was rather upset to hear that legacy collection didn't include 7~10, Megaman and Bass and Power Battles. Those were really great asset to the collection anyways :c Sorry that legends isnt up there....not enough space...*begs forgiveness* Link to comment

Manari Posted October 29, 2015 Share #29 Posted October 29, 2015 I'm a huge classic Megaman fan and I played each one as it came out starting with the Original on NES. Out of all the classic Megaman games, Megaman X1 and Megaman 2 are my favorites. They have the best balance of soundtrack, gameplay, weapon variety, and difficulty. And for me personally, Megaman X1 is just a masterpiece and the perfect example of how one does a jump to the next generation sequel. 1 Link to comment

Stealing Manari's post because I'd really only add Megaman 3, 9, and X4 to what's noted here. There was actually a brief period of time growing where I was banned from the old 'Nintendo hard' classic Megaman games because they incited some controller throwing fits in little me. Now I just yell lots of profanity instead. Also crazy bonus points for including Megaman Soccer on the poll. I WISH we could get a current gen remake. 1 Link to comment

Manari Posted October 29, 2015 Share #32 Posted October 29, 2015 Anyone ever play Megaman Powered UP or Megaman Maverick Hunter X on PSP? They were PSP remakes of Megaman 1 and Megaman X1 respectively. They were.... uh.... ok I guess? I liked Megaman Powered Up a lot more than I liked Megaman Maverick Hunter X because I don't really like how slow the game feels with 3D graphics in a side scrolling perspective. Link to comment

Opposite feeling here. I couldn't get over the art style and presentation for Powered UP but I adored MHX for being an updated MMX. I will admit the 2.5d looked a bit strange but I got over it. Plus, Vile. Link to comment
Coatleque Posted October 29, 2015 Share #34 Posted October 29, 2015 I played 1, 2, and 3. After that, they started running out of ideas, the bosses got stupid, and I lost interest. Link to comment

Well that can be true. I have a few friends who never played and just picked them up on ps4 and love it. So I think they're for anyone. Link to comment

They're pretty clunky, but I liked the characters and shortcomings aside, it was a pretty good effort to make a Zelda style Megaman. With the shooting focus, a lot of special weapons and platforming worked, if rough around the edges. The games were good and are still good, just not the second coming or whatever. Why people feel so strongly about the series is more to do with disapproval of how mishandled the cancellation was. I think few people actually feel Legends is a truly representative title in the series, or the best thing ever. They were just niche, fun titles in the series that demanded more sequels to finish the story arc at least, and then Capcom was a butt about it... Link to comment
