[Ruran]

Hey everyone! ... Let's RP!

 

I've found myself with a creative itch, and so I'm sticking all my active characters out there to see if anyone is interested in joining me in some mad storybuilding shenanigans!

 

All of my characters are open to meet a variety of others. Give me allies; give me enemies; give me slice-of-life smalltalk; give me epic and dangerous plots. Development! I have plots and one-shot events available for those who struggle with hooks, and I'm looking to get my characters immersed in as many interactions and stories as possible. I want alllllll.

 

I'm on the Balmung server. My timezone is EST/GMT-5, and I'm usually online after 7pm Monday-Saturday. Sunday is free and clear all day! I also enjoy Discord/Skype RP for those who have difficulty lining up times (since I can access messengers while at work), or if you would like some paraposting narrative. Or alternately, something nice and casual.

Ruran Vas (who once called himself 'Locke Rinannis') is my longest-running character. His story has been going strong on FFXIV for nearly 2 and a half years! He's a quiet but kind-hearted Midlander who seems to be faced with adversity at every turn, yet somehow musters the strength to push through it all. After losing everything he loved for a second time, he's a broken man who wanders Eorzea, pulled along by his proclaimed 'duty', and led by a thread of fate that he doesn't entirely understand...nor one that he might survive.

 

In a nutshell, Ruran is a lone voidsent slayer and artifact hunter. He follows rumors and whispers of corruption, and then does his best to dish out justice and bring things back to the light. He's a 'knight in shining armor', although...he often seems reluctant and distant in his work, having no small amount of burden on his shoulders.

On the opposite side of the coin, I have Madoc Parnell. He's a scarred-up, shirt-forsaking, and fun-loving Xaela with a penchant for mischief and witty banter. He enjoys a good drink and revels a good battle even more. Despite his teasing (and sometimes unabashed flirting), deep down he's a caring Au Ra who can be quite insightful from his lifetime as a mercenary. He's a father-figure to some...and a terrible-influence uncle to others. Often both.

 

First and foremost, Madoc is a mercenary. Bodyguarding, monster hunting, bounty hunting, escorting caravans, being a bouncer: if he gets a chance to make gil by swinging his oversized blade around, he'll do it. As a side, he's also a decent bartender, knowledgeable of drinks and good at reading when someone shouldn't see the bottom of another glass.

The newest of my characters, Tamuh Lhevi is an energetic reporter for the Mythril Eye. She often prowls around the city-states in search for the truth. Or whatever she believes to be the truth! ...She's on a lower rung of the journalist ladder.

 

Definitely-not-sneaking into buildings, totally-not-eavesdropping on a juicy conversation, certainly-not-wedging herself into meetings, and absolutely-not-breaking several laws in the process, she'll go the distance for the sake of a good scoop. Tamuh is a bottle of curiosity and loves learning about new people and stories, offering a flurry of questions with notebook in hand. A notebook which has gotten her into a lot of trouble in the past.

For those interested, here is Atreus del Alumet. A man once, this raen is a glamoured voidsent who skulks around the continent to prey and feed on the innocent. There is very little redeemable about him, being a paranoid, silent, and violent sort who would sooner rip someone in half than negotiate. So far, I've only used him for limited circumstances, since he can be very abrasive and isn't good for multiple social encounters. But he exists!

 

If you want a wild and dangerous conflict, or a voidal encounter for a survival story your character can share, Atreus is your man! He's currently Wanted by all city-states, and he is easily driven to rage. Perfect for conflict, that much is certain!

While I'm kinda busy tonight, from tomorrow on, I'm basically free to roleplay on whatever character you'd like to toss at Avelyn.

 

Mind you, Avelyn's terribly... Ala Mhigan! Either way characters get along perfectly with her, or they want to smack her around. Or both! In either case, if you don't mind potential headbutting happening, I'd gladly toss Ave at any of your characters sometime!

[Mitzer The Mighty]

Got a Keeper Kit named Mitzi Moui who loves getting into mischief and spins tall tales who would make a funny assistant to your reporter. Raised by a mob woman then taken away by Ishguardian DHS (lol not really, more like kit-napped and got away with it because spoiled rotten) elf who is pretending to be an inquisitor. "Mister In Quiz Sitter. She liked to collect 12 lizards because something about slaying dragons and preying to the 12 would make her fat chocobo doll turn into a real boy. (see how the stories get warped?) Anyway, adorable gullible child who dreams of being a super hero is ready when you are. If you attempt any hair brushing or grooming you will have to roll to not be clawed, bitten, or suffer the wrath of a tornado with a tantrum.

 

Other character would be Aoi Usui, the future pharmaceutical overlord-ehem I mean brilliant doctor.. who has yet to finish alchemy training. She is working for some interesting people, are they good people? Who knows. She follows where the money is. Screechy voice, loud talker, flirty, smack talking au ra who perches on people and smacks them with her tail when she isn't getting her way. Need a doc? call Dr. Aoi.

 

Main character would be Eyrigeim Thorskyltwyn, she's the poetic viking sea wolf with a love for good stories by the fire, a good brawl on the docks, and a huge roe breakfast. Step-dancing will ensue. She got issues with maelstrom,. military.. authority figures.. magicians of any kind. (summoners making tiny egi's of primals appear around her, parlor tricks of handkerchiefs coming out of a sleeve also gives the heebie jeebies to this superstitious sailor.) Full of stories of her people and songs of the northern seas. Trying to get her ship back from the dry-docks, looking for a crew but more importantly, trying to find her way after being landlocked for so long.

Mostly I enjoy one-shot and slice of life however Eyri has been in combat a number of times due to people needing to challenge every sea wolf they see (only lost once to a maelstrom officer however she is not a combat character, she's just freaking big and rngesus likes her) good connections will be kept up with and whatever develops the story the best will be the direction we go in so pretty chill about rp, no pressure. None of the character personalities are the same and will not reflect the writer's opinions. Most times its whatever leads to the funniest outcome. :3
