Maril Posted October 8, 2016 Share #1 Posted October 8, 2016 The Matron's Reach is an IC linkshell catering both to healers and patients. The purpose is to connect people who have an interest in healing roleplay, be it because they play as one or because their character gets hurt frequently. Additionally, we have a strong supportive healing-loving community, centered around our discord. If you do not have linkshell slots, you may join the discord only. Healers connected to the Linkpearl will gain unlimited access to three clinics, located in each of the housing districts. Patients can use the pearl anytime to request medical assistance, look for specialist help and get medical advice in general. Your character may not be injured right now, but we all know the road is long and full of dangers. Within the Matron's Reach Network we organize events of various types, with minimum one per week. These events are sometimes open for the public, and others are for members of the network only. They range from clinic nights to search and rescue missions and social gatherings. Interested? Then you need to get your grabbers on a pearl! To join as a Healer: Reach out to one of the already connected healers! See the list below. We are here to roleplay, so the linkpearl must be obtained through roleplay where-after the actual invitation is given. If scheduling gets too difficult, we can seek out other ways. Everyone Else: We welcome more than just healers in the network! Patients who get treated by a Matron's Reach-Connected healer can be offered the linkpearl, and the same goes for characters that are "Accident prone". Seek out one of the already connected healers for hooks. Bodyguards/Mercenaries that are looking for work should seek out Maril Hawker, as she often is in need of hiring them! Want to stay in touch out of game? We have a discord! Ask Maril for an invitation. Affiliates and allies are also welcome here! ---------------------------------------------------------------- The following people with a star icon can be approached IC'ly for invites to the linkshell. Tali Posted October 11, 2016 Share #2 Posted October 11, 2016 Just want to say a huge thank you to Maril for hosting and healing our horde after we invaded her clinic in Thanalan last night and bled all over the place! Having access to an actual healer network, and clinics in three of the city states is really flipping useful, I must say I'd wholly recommend anyone who plays a healer and wants easier access to healer RP (Or people who go out and get beat up a lot as part of their job) get in on this~ Some pics from the cleaup last night! Star Lin Posted October 11, 2016 Share #3 Posted October 11, 2016 I would love to join this with John but well, kind of got burn when I join another Healer's linkshell before (was co leader) only to see it die slowly and painfully, with the one that started it leave the game. I finally shut it down myself since it only had 5 people left to it. I hope that yours goes better then The Circle of Healing did. Link to comment
Tessariel Aerlinn Posted October 13, 2016 Share #4 Posted October 13, 2016 I'd be interested in being part of this. I have two different characters that can act as healers but if it's preferred only one be used that's perfectly fine with me. I'll see if I can contact the person mentioned in the advertisement. Maril Posted October 17, 2016 Author Share #5 Posted October 17, 2016 Many updates have happened in the past few days, as we're now tallying an impressive amount of healers! I'm super excited to see the concept so well received. There's space for plenty more, healer and otherwise - Don't hesitate to reach out! 1 Link to comment

Kilieit Posted October 31, 2016 Share #8 Posted October 31, 2016 What's yourn policy on alts? I would be very interested in getting Telluric Medic in on this, and while I log on to play her fairly often (I'd say at least once a week? Moreso if there are specific events for her to attend), she isn't my most active character. I totally understand if you'd rather keep the linkshell for characters who are played ~daily, especially on the healer side of things, but I thought it was worth asking! If you want to get back to me in-game, try Telluric Medic or Aghurlal Qar-akimusun. Thank you! Link to comment

Tali Posted December 12, 2016 Share #10 Posted December 12, 2016 So~ With the servers playing up again, what better time to give the Matron's Reach a little bump, and remind people of how fantastic it can be for healer RP! Also, for the convenience of having fully stocked IC clinics in each of the major city states. Or... three quarters now, I guess? Anyway! While I can't speak for the other practicing physicians, or those who have taken a pearl for the sake of having a healer on call at most hours, I can report a couple of more scenes that have played out thanks to this LS! First off, there was a small midwife-y checkup that took place in the Jackals own infirmary (The clients were in the Mists anyway. It was destiny, totally.) And second was the Jackals once more ending up in the Thanalan branch of the 'Reach, after a few small beatings were taken in the completely normal and not worthy of investigation line of work that they do. tl;dr: If you're looking for healers, or a healer looking for patients, the Matron's Reach is well worth giving up a LS space for. 1 Link to comment
Maril Posted January 3, 2017 Author Share #11 Posted January 3, 2017 The first Regular Opening Hours event was a huge success! Thank you all for showing up, and special thanks to Telluric Medic for helping me see to all of the patients. And welcome to all of the new healers and would-be patients! Stay tuned for news of the next healer meet to be held before January runs out of days. If you're a healer in the linkshell, please PM me with availability in terms of preferred days, time and timezone. Thanks! Link to comment

Star Lin Posted January 14, 2017 Share #13 Posted January 14, 2017 Maril, I'm going to see if I catch you in game to join the LS today. I won't be able to attend the meeting on the 15 since I have a closing shift. If you have the monday meeting, John might be late for it, if it's still the 4-8 pm EST. Link to comment

Maril Posted March 13, 2017 Author Share #18 Posted March 13, 2017 Healer meeting on 15/3 2017! 9pm GMT / 5PM ET! The agenda will center around the current going-on's, an upcoming event or two, and will otherwise contain free debate between the healers. There'll be tea too, of course! If you plan on attending and have any specific topic you'd like to bring on, let Maril know in advance and it'll get put on for sure! The event is open to all healers, of all sorts (not just magic!) and also healers who are not yet affiliated icly with the linkshell but would like to become affiliated. Due to troubles with figuring out when our NA-primetime-only healers can show up, if more of you let me know what times generally suit yous, I will try to get a healer meeting going for those who have been prevented by the earlyish times us Europeans tend to function at. Cheers! Link to comment
Maril Posted April 25, 2017 Author Share #19 Posted April 25, 2017 Our list of expertise grows ever larger! In the past two weeks we have welcomed three new healers, and their skills are being put to good use already. Get in touch if you want in! We still have space for healers, patients and associates alike. Link to comment
Maril Posted June 13, 2017 Author Share #20 Posted June 13, 2017 "Just before Stormblood" - Linkshell Status Hello everyone. Until the 10th of July, The Matron's Reach: Weekly Open Hours is taking a break to let people get up to par with Stormblood. In the meantime, a bit of housekeeping will take place. 1. All healers of the linkshell will be contacted by me and asked a few questions. There are some healers who have hardly interacted with the linkshell, and I wish to check up on the status of you and your characters. Are you still interested? Is your character still interested? Is there anything we can do to get you involved? Healers who I cannot get in touch with before the 10th will be temporarily removed from the Linkshell. You will be able to get back in if you get in touch with us. 2. This will lead to the list on the front page of this LS thread being updated. In addition to the list of healers, there will be a list of affiliated clinic/practice locations along with any other locations where The Matron's Reach peoples have been allowed to go. 3. The information on the front page will get overhauled to make it easier to read. I am also going to add some conduct guidelines. These will not be outrageous nor strict, but I feel like it is about time that we put into words what we expect of eachother. If you want influence on any of this, let me know. 4. The healer meeting will be structured to happen once a month post-Stormblood and will happen on either a saturday or a sunday, in a system wherein the day changes from month to month (Sunday->Saturday->Sunday->Saturday). The time will always be at 4pm EDT. I hope that by making the event "proper regular" it will be easier for people to schedule for. Obviously, I reserve the right to move or cancel meetings as needed. 5. As we get more information from the Expansion, we will eventually make a guideline for travelling with patients. If I manage to secure a house in Shirogane, The Matron's Reach will expand when it seems icly sensible. Thank you for reading! Our capacity is at 99/128, so if you want in we have plenty of room still. Link to comment
Maril Posted July 9, 2017 Author Share #21 Posted July 9, 2017 The information has been updated! Check it out. We've got space for plenty of more, so if you want to join just toss a tell or PM to me - or a tell to anyone marked with a star in the list of names. Cheers! Link to comment
