Lren Posted April 23, 2013 Share #26 Posted April 23, 2013 I would like to see Tripple Triad from FF8 in the game could lead to some intresting rp. Can already see the RP bets being lost the minute that would go live ;-; Link to comment
Adventurer Posted April 23, 2013 Share #27 Posted April 23, 2013 I would actually adore a card game that can be played out in the world. The fabled Gold Saucer is supposedly going to have mini games and such, but (and I always wanted this in XI) being able to sit down with friends and play one of many Card games from the series has always been something I'd love to do. And to RP it out at the same time would make it even more amazing. That's what my fingers are crossed for! Oh, and I am -really- hoping for a type of 'wardrobe' feature. For both RP and just to avoid looking like a multi-coloured clown when out adventuring. Nobody likes Lalafell in subligars. Link to comment
Noelle Posted April 23, 2013 Share #28 Posted April 23, 2013 Gunblade Job. *cough*Nevergonnahappen!*cough* From what I've read around, there were already gunblades found in the data. Also, there is the musketeer guild and SE has expressed the possibility of future release of this class. Overall, Tyonis's wish may be one of the most possible ones to be fulfilled. Back to the topic... I would really like if like NPCs, characters moved their mouth after entering a chat message in /say. Wahaha~ While it is true that they were there, they had to be in the data files since a certain antagonist wielded one and was fully rendered in-game. There was also the Gunhalberd in there, but being able to wield that is even less likely than a Gunblade class. While a Gunblade class would be super popular, I wouldn't count on them adding it just because of the model being in the files. As for what I would like added, the Musketeer class was something I was anticipating since forever ago... And will have to keep waiting for. A card game or anything similar that you could play together with others would be very welcomed too. All of the gambling~! *u* I guess... something else I've wanted for quite a while is access to other races emotes... >u>; Like, some miqo'te ones are great, but I'd love to be able to do some of the Hyur or Elezen ones too. Kari Illderthane Posted April 26, 2013 Share #30 Posted April 26, 2013 Npc's singing and danceing in a tavern iv never actually seen that in an mmo yet even though it is such an iconic thing D: Link to comment
JaydenMoon Posted April 26, 2013 Share #31 Posted April 26, 2013 Lotro had that and I think the dwarves in wow did. I dunno I was a horde so most of the alliance seemed to be dancing as I dispatched them! Link to comment
Yssen Posted April 26, 2013 Share #32 Posted April 26, 2013 Npc's singing and danceing in a tavern iv never actually seen that in an mmo yet even though it is such an iconic thing D: In 1.0 the Astalicia (Marauder Guild, Pirate Ship, also a Tavern) has an Elezen bard playing a harp on stage. She even played different songs. The Mineral Concern Tavern in Ul'dah had a dancer on stage, and several other "dancers" mixed in with the tables. I really cannot see them taking that stuff out in 2.0, but I guess we will see. Link to comment

Ah thats cool I never played 1.0 but you look at most taverns in mmo's and they just seem well kind of boring if there wasn't players there sure you got the background music to the game but its not the same as watching someone playing the music which makes the place feel more alive. Grott Posted May 2, 2013 Share #35 Posted May 2, 2013 Different neutral postures while standing or sitting to sort of establish whether a character is more reserved, rambunctuous, agitated, coquettish, etc. Posture is important for stuff like that. I'd love to be able to cross my legs while seated, or fold my arms beneath my chest and stare pointedly at someone. I like this idea. A lot. I don't know if any of you played LOTRO (i think it was mentioned earlier, but i cant remember), but the /smoke emote was really cool because you could just stand in a tavern and smoke a pipe by the fireplace. LOTRO is one of the few games i've actually taken a chance at RPing in (because none of my RL friends were there to judge me plus im a huge Tolkien fan). I also loved that it was like a sit emote in that it lasted until you moved. I could definitely see A'sili smoking a pipe while watching the sea, or even just standing with his arms folded since he's got that tough loner thing going. I also like the folded legs while seated thing, not particularly for my character, but for anyone. Not everyone sits at a table with their back straight against the chair and their hands on their knees. Has anyone tried sitting like that for long periods of time in real life? it's exhausting. In City of Heroes they went as far as to make like ten different sit emotes for chairs, ledges, flat ground, etc, and multiple for each. There was more than one way to sit in a chair, just like in real life. Also they can program /sit so it works differently when you're next to a chair, why not make a /lean for when you're next to a wall? So many characters idly stand around for hours in games like this, and yet none of them get lazy and enjoy a good lean? That was a hell of a rant. Sorry, I'm a big fan of emotes. Which is weird since I don't have much RP experience. (not to get off topic but my emote love comes from my half-RPing to myself when no one's looking. hence, my newfound interest in actual RP) Another thing that I think would be cool and may have been talked about by developers (maybe...?) is linkshell-owned airships. personally, i prefer a sea ship to an airship, but as long as A'sili's boat knowledge comes in handy somewhere I'll be happy. Also, I don't know where they're at with titles (im sure they have them), but I love a good title. Nothing fancy like "Ultimate Slayer of All Darkness" but simple things like "Captain", "Lord/Lady", "the Wanderer", etc. would do just fine. I don't know which of these things were covered already, I didn't read all of this. I got way too stoked when Eva read my mind on standing positions and skipped the other two pages. Sorry that was long. Link to comment
