looking for input on minor Auri Xaela tribe

Recommended Posts

So i am getting back into the game on a fresh start on Mateus.

I had a idea for a character but it had some complexity to it because i wanted the character to be a Xaela that fought like a warrior without the need of a soul crystal. This should be totally possible fighting with some sort of primal fury. To do so I decided to make a minor offshoot like tribe and i am looking for input and potential improvements before i get into the rest of her backstory.

Urakin tribe:

*The Urakin tribe is a minor off shoot tribe of the Kagon. Still largely a nocturnal tribe they tend to have a very pale complexion. Urakin society is small and highly nomadic always on the move never staying in one place for too long. They are a very barbaric Matriarchal society the tribe consisting of nothing but females. To replenish their ranks they kidnap males from other tribes to reproduce only keeping the female born sacrificing the male born to their goddess. In combat they are fierce, brutal and unrelenting. They prefer the pure carnage of the axe fighting with pure inner primal fury.*

Any input much appreciated.

The Xaela actually have a name for the Inner Beast. They call it the "Will of Karash." Many tribes, particularly the Qerel view it as a curse, because the Xaela are often unable to control their Inner Beast and go rampant. Many are outcast. Some join a splinter tribe similar to the one you have created, called the Chaghan. That's not to say you can't make your own similar splinter tribe! Just wanted to let you know that there is lore backing your idea in the WAR 60-70 questline.

I am Dorgono of the Qerel. My home is...was...on the Azim Steppe in lands far to the east. We are unmatched in the ways of the axe. We are a strong people. At times too strong. There are ones like me' date=' consumed by this thing you call the inner beast, the will of Karash. We are the Taken, cursed with an insatiable thirst for violence.[/quote']

Remarkable! Your people sound not unlike those of my village. Though I suppose it stands to reason others share this gift. The strength of one's inner beast stems from a primal instinct we are all born with. It is merely a matter of learning to draw it out─a technique we warriors have long since mastered. Yet you would call it a curse. Have your people not learned to control this power?

The will of Karash' date=' this...inner beast...can be controlled? Perhaps then I can at last return home! The Taken are sentenced to exile. That is why I traveled west, to train further in the way of the axe. If I can overcome this affliction, I may have a chance for redemption.[/quote']

The exiles of Qerel have created a clan of their own─the Chaghan. They offered me shelter when I was first cast out. Where the Qerel see the will of Karash as a source of rack and ruin' date=' the Chaghan praise it as a blessing from the Dusk Mother. They commit all manner of heinous acts when Karash takes hold. Some would even slay their own kin and claim it in the name of the Mother. I could not abide their savagery and soon left. Still, my people mistake me for one of the Chaghan now.[/quote']

Oh wow that is really cool. Actually really similar to what i was going for. I started my own because i am in the very beginning of the game never played through warrior on any other characters. Thanks a lot for the info saves a ton of work and a simple name change can fix that.

This is exactly why I posted super helpful
