A tale of new beginnings!

Hello! 

I'm not new to XIV, but finally managed to squeeze a character in on Balmung so I can start trying to RP more actively! I've already had a really lovely reception from people on server ;  _  ; 
I've played XIV for a few years now, WoW and GW2 before that, ran some MUDs and such. One could say I've been around the digital block a few times!

 

Same goes with RP, I've several years of experience in it starting way back into my tabletop and LARPing days. I know, I know. A LARPer. My specialty is in playing bards and story-weavers and that's what I'm starting with as I get comfortable in my new home on Balmung!







A little about Vagrant Songstress: 

She does have a proper name, but I wanted to go with something more enigmatic so I can fit into the background as an NPC as well if needed! She's currently wandering place to place in the world on the hunt for good tales of adventure to make coin off of! A hungry bard works the hardest! She's currently haunting a small perch outside of the Adventurer's Guild in Ul'dah!


Things to note about her: 

 

• Obsessive people watcher, may take notes
• The 'truth' is ...a flex detail to her. Whatever sells best in the taverns is what makes the cut, even if it means adding a creative flair.
• Busybody and will interview you at the drop of a hat or will just listen in like a creep! [OOC permission will be asked!]
• You may or may not have an original composition and tale woven about your character! I'm still figuring out the whole performance thing, but have a few songs written up for people I've met already! 
• Like many, she's not what she appears and has a side utility to her song-weaving in that of spreading misinformation/rumors to those that need to drag another character/group in a fun way. Coin is coin and she's always looking for the next way to get fed and put a pillow under her head. Anything maligned or generally distasteful put to song will be okayed by parties involved before hand and is entirely IC. 

Possible RP Hooks:

 

• Anytime you see her people watching in town, she's looking for something to write about!
• Currently hunting for work to keep herself off the streets; including, but not limited to: small jobs not related to performances, espionage, subterfuge, and misinformation related activities,
  performance works [ballads and love songs, advertisement jingles for businesses, and rumor spreading] 
• She's looking for a way to fix a creepy harp [Mhachi relic] she won from a faire or at least string it well enough to play it. [Ongoing storyline with Mhachi/void aspects, thanks <Mafia>/Watcher's Eye]

A little about me: 

I work full time in retail, so my hours will be unreliable during the holiday season, but don't let that stop you! If I'm online and not actively waiting on a duty pop, feel free to approach me! I'm all about spontaneous RP and walk ups! I do prefer medium/heavy RP and would love to get into some long term story lines/groups. I won't say no to new friends of any kind!
