Hi! I'm new and have no idea what I'm doing!  But you can trust that whatever I do, I'm going to rock it! ... may take a few tries, but we'll get there eventually. .. ... may die trying a few times too. 

Anyway! I haven't sunk my teeth into a good MMO since vanilla wow. I have't done any online RP since GW2. Frankly I have limited time to play, but enjoy a good story - even if there isn't a story I enjoy hanging out with other characters or questing with them.. even pvping with/against them. 

I'm hoping FF14 is going to be different. 

 

 

--MMORPG background

Played WOW religiously for months back in 04-05? Character name was Slade on Kirin Tor. 

Played Starwars: Old Republic for about a month.

Played GW2 for a few months.

Played Age of Conan (broke my heart how terrible the game play was - loved the story). 

 

--RP experience

From online gaming to live-action role playing games - I've been RPing since 2001. I created the lore for a game. I am currently running another. I have experience in countless genres. Final Fantasy RP will be new because the lore is different, but at least I'll get a chance to open a fried chocobo fast food joint

 

 

--Character ideas/info

Couple of ideas toying with.

Madthane - A brash front line fighter who's seen too many close calls. 

Hatim - A crafter of sorts runs a shop and spends time trading and bartering.

Kazin - A frail scholar with no social skills.

 

--How did you learn about the coalition?

Google! 

 

--What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy?

Heavy. I want to go on quests/dungeons and be in character!

 

--Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc)

I work insane hours. I travel between Dubai and California.. my hours are odd, but I love gaming and RPing with a passion!

Looks like you have a few plans for yourself already as far as a character is concerned. If you are unclear on anything, or would like the aid of the community to clarify or discuss some fine point with you, feel free to ask

Doing quests and dungeons in character has always sounded really wonderful. I haven't been able to do that in any game because my partner always said it was confusing, but I'm hoping to try it in FFXIV.
