Women who cook are amazing

Recommended Posts

I know my mom taught me how to cook, though I certainly took it and ran with it. I really like cooking, but those dishes...those dishes. Why do so many beautiful dishes have to require a ton of pots and pans and then more plates and bowls on top of it....huh.gif

I would probably cook for fun things if I had a better dishwasher(or a designated person to fill such a role)

I am always willing to do dishes as long as I get food

Funny, I can cook, but I can only do a handful of dishes... or at least, that I've even attempted to do.

Spaghetti and meat sauce, a bunch of egg-related dishes, special fried rice, garlic shrimp, garlic & ginger salmon, fried corn, and a few other simple things like that. I'm pretty happy with my dishes (as is everyone who's tasted them), but I'm kind of frustrated with my own inability to experiment and do something new.

I'm thinking I should challenge myself to do at least one new dish a week.

I will not have that accursed "dishes" word in my thread.

-_- I hate doing dishes.

Actually let me correct myself, I hate doing other people's dishes.

Give me a beer and a grill to work on and there is nothing I can't cook...nothing.

Just give me the beer :D

All these anti-dishwashers in here. I honestly don't mind doing dishes at all. I actually do them every single day in my house (how two people who rarely cook get so many dishes is still beyond me). The only thing I hate is washing greasy dishes. I just have a weird thing about getting my hands dirty. I will literally roll around in mud, as long as I didn't have to get it on my hands...don't know where I picked that up from. Luckily we don't cook with grease (in the rare occasions we do make something) and we both don't eat meat (which usually leaves greasy dishes) so it makes my life a ton easier.

This thread has made me hungry twice today now...I gotta stop reading this stuff.
