Just came across a Yoshi-P wall of text about his vision for FFXIV

Apologies if this has been posted before (I did a search but couldn't find anything) but I just came across an old article containing a post from Yoshi-P from around Phase 3, detailing his thoughts about how he'd like FFXIV to turn out, including end game stuff.

It's a really long, but awesome read and makes me pretty excited for end level content including the journey along the way.

An interesting read and an excellent insight into the sort of direction the game is likely to go in. The first major content patch is due to bring us player housing and I'm hoping it won't be the only big feature to be added to the game in order to encourage long term investment and enjoyment.

I realized reading this that I'm NOT a hardcore gamer at ALL.

Yoshida the Hardcore Gamer's view of MMO's are worlds away from my own and reading it I was like "dafuq is he talking about?"

I'm hardcore in how much time and effort I put into MMO's but I'm so very far in how I see them.

I guess I must be...
