Tessaface Posted August 19, 2010 Share #26 Posted August 19, 2010 ;D i just hope we have the server chosen on the first day, so i know where to make my char once i've finished spending hours and hours updating. i did alot of rp in age of conan on the Hyrkania server, was really nice being a part of that. No-one was shy about rping in open chat there because everyone was doing it. i hope to see that kind of comfortable rp on FFXIV. Link to comment
Kylin Posted August 20, 2010 Author Share #27 Posted August 20, 2010 Well, we officially breached two pages on the discussion thread there (over 50 replies) as well as over 1,000 views. And we managed to recruit at least 1-2 more RPers from it while making others learn something new about us. Overall, a huge success! High fives for everyone! Link to comment

Question is - was it enough so that Zam would consider coverage on the RPC in the future? 50 posts is nice but was it enough to impress them? ^^; Link to comment
Averis Posted August 21, 2010 Share #29 Posted August 21, 2010 Eh, I've been on the receiving end of stereotypes for role-playing. All it does, though, is make me feel happy and closer to our little group/community. It's nice to know you have people that think like you and share the same views you do. Even when we argue among ourselves, at the end of the day we can say, "we're role-players". *group hug* Link to comment
Len Posted August 21, 2010 Share #30 Posted August 21, 2010 Wow , I never knew that RP'ers were hated this much I am still in shock Well more like misunderstood than hated But at least we know the RP Haters won't invade our server hopefully.... Hope we get more articles and stuff in the future the world must know the joy of RP or at least respect it enough not to ruin it Link to comment
blueblacksky Posted August 21, 2010 Share #31 Posted August 21, 2010 Eh, it happens every time. There's some animosity from a small yet vocal minority. Then it dies down after launch. Link to comment
Kashemia Posted August 21, 2010 Share #32 Posted August 21, 2010 Heh, the thing is this thread is not even that bad, I've seen WAY worse. In fact, according to what I've read on various forums, I gotta be one of the wost players you can: I'm a roleplayer, I'm a girl, and I don't enjoy griefing lower level players. Apparently, all of these makes me a horrible player all in all Link to comment
