I couldn't watch past the first seconds because the English dub makes me cringe. I'm playing the game with Japanese voices, so, yes... ^^;

 

I wonder if they've released a Japanese version of the trailer?

If I remember well, it's in the the audio options.

I'd like to be more specific, but the game won't let me in at this hour and I can't remember the exact details ;_;

Cutscene audio is in the Other section of the config menu, all the way down at the bottom.

Odd. I find the English casting and acting to be some of the best I've ever seen, in a video game or otherwise.

 

No accounting for taste, etc.

 

Also, goddamn. Such great music.

The music is pretty good as always from Nobuo Uematsu. The english voices are ok, sometimes it can be pretty cheezy, though the best voice acting I've heard personally (I'm no expert by any means this is just my opinion) is from mass effect.

From the little I've seen, Mass Effect does sound absolutely great. English voices are the original ones, after all, and they suit the characters. I also found Last of Us voices very good (I refused to see it dubbed in Spanish).

 

I just can't stand dubs of any kind in Japanese/Korean games or anime, for they are created with a very different mindset and charisma. I always feel that any voice other than the Japanese is completely unfitting and wrong with them; it doesn't help that I consider Japanese the most beautiful language my ears have ever come across *laughs*. So nothing is ever going to beat it for me.

Did anyone else notice that the voice of the crystal was familiar?

 

 

(02:39)Probably just my imagination, though. Not even the right universe. I just found it amusing that the voice of the crystal sounds a lot like the voice of a notorious hacker in another MMORPG.
