RhotanoBlues Posted September 30, 2013 Share #2 Posted September 30, 2013 It was only through this video did I learn about being able to change the sizes of UI elements. Link to comment

Dogberry Posted September 30, 2013 Share #4 Posted September 30, 2013 That was extremely useful. I spent a good deal of last night trying to figure out how to change the UI size, but no matter how many times I hit the computer machine box with my caveman bone it wouldn't work. Also, that focus target tip was brilliant. I had no idea. Kinda wish I had known about that when I was running copperbell. Link to comment
Dravus Posted September 30, 2013 Share #5 Posted September 30, 2013 It's very strange to suggest changing the language to Japanese. I'm willing to bet a very large portion of players don't speak or understand it. The English voice acting isn't the worst I've heard in an MMO, though some of the voices are a lot better than others. Most of the other tips are decent enough, but the first isn't a tip - it's effectively just snobby propaganda with a personal opinion passed off as fact. Link to comment

You probably recall my opinion on the voice acting, but I did find it a little presumptuous to tell people the first thing they should do was change it to Japanese. Though I actually didn't know how to do it in game, and the option is well hidden, so there is a tip hidden in there. I changed it to German for the sake of leveling an alt, since I understand it and am dreading watching some of the unskippable cutscenes again. The rest I'd found out on my own by virtue of flailing around slapping my keyboard randomly. Link to comment
Chisae Posted October 1, 2013 Share #7 Posted October 1, 2013 I dont think it's really that big of a deal, him mentioning that you should switch to Japanese... I don't think it should have been #1, but it's nothing to get worked up over (if anyone is). If this game had been Russian, German, French or whathaveyou in it's native language, I would have switch the voice-overs to that language because I like listening to games in their original language as long as it doesnt force me to read the game text in said language as well. lol I'm not fluent in Japanese, but I do understand bits and pieces and I like figuring out where one word stops and another begins too. Do I think that the Japanese vo's sound better? Some of them yes, others no. Link to comment

Clearly you are unable to appreciate the subtle nuances in the superior original Japanese script, you baka gaijin. I guess this game isn't for you- maybe you should play WoW. #yolo #swag #2pro #anime4lyfe :cactuar: Link to comment
