I've been lurking for a bit, but my want for RP is drawing me out of the shadows and making me actually ignore my crippling social anxiety at making a first post and show myself to you guys.

 

Hi, hello, I'm Drea.  I have a few connections on Balmung (my primary server for future reference) already, but I feel it's probably a good idea to branch out a bit, especially in hopes of furthering RP threads.

 

I haven't even hit max on anyone yet, but my main character is my highest and also the only one I've bothered thinking in depth about RP on.  So here I am, offering myself up as a lamb to slaughter as a new person hoping to find some RP.

 

If you have any questions for me, feel free to leave them here and maybe I can get something going with some of you.  If not, that's fine too, it's worth the try, non?

Welcome to the RPC =) I'd highly recommend taking a look at the Linkshell list for Balmung located >Here< Intermission and Europa are good "looking for RP" linkshells. Also, if you see Gharen Wolfsong about feel free to to shoot me a tell =) There are alot of good people here on the RPC and this is a great place to initiate those connections.

I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of nice people and actually getting some RP under my belt - mostly it has just been me and one of my closest friends when he has the time, but unfortunately I don't think that's very fair to him to make him the only outlet for my RP endeavours.

 

I'll take a look at the linkshells like you suggested and see what I can do.  I'm really, really awkward around new people so I'll try my best to get over that as soon as possible.

Welcome! You are absolutely correct, lurking is not conducive to finding RP!  Glad you are here. 

 

I know how hard it can be to dive into RP with people you don't know, but take it from someone who was new just two months ago!  People here are great and very open to meeting new characters.

Welcome, Lumine! I'm glad you bested your social anxiety and emerged from lurking. I'm afraid you won't find much slaughter here, though. Folks are pretty friendly, in my experience.

I am also new to the game.  I have spoken with a few very nice people due to making an introductory thread here.  I also seem to happen upon RP at so many different places in the game.  It is so very refreshing.  It doesn't seem to take much work to find a way into the community here.
