Branching Out

Recommended Posts

Nero's relationship section is a little sparse, and I'd like to fix that!

To summarise, Nero Lazarov is a smuggler and pirate based out of Limsa Lominsa. However, he was born in Ul'dah, and escaped the city in his teens. His typical facade of the flirtatious and joking rogue hides a lot of repressed anger and a ruthless pragmatism. He is heavily involved with the underground scene of Limsa Lominsa and is attempting to break into Ul'dah's underworld as well. His involvement in Gridania is minimal, but his legitimate merchant front occasionally does business there.

Normal connections are fine, but my limited schedule means I do not have too much time to do live RP in an average week. Forum RP I do a bit better with because I can often write posts while at work or some such, but both forum and in-game RP are totally fine with me.

I've no problem with weaving the backstories of characters together, like childhood friends, and I do love to brainstorm plot ideas. I'm also receptive to integrating player characters into pre-existing storylines, or crossing multiple storylines together.

I am more comfortable with structured RP (that is, RP with a driven storyline) than with spontaneous RP (such as open tavern meetups and the like), but I'm willing to engage in either.

Feel free to PM me (in-game or on the forum here) if you'd like to talk more!

Like you, Luna's friends are really lacking! I've actually been too shy to attempt role-play at all. :D

BUT! To throw it out there: Luna grew up in LL in her family's apothecary shop. One of her relatives married a Seeker with ties to the Rogue guild (that has yet to manifest itself officially in-game...), and in turn the Rogues offered protection to the Fay's store (against pirates; thieves; general banditry - Luna's family is rolling in gil.) In recent years her family's store, Sylph Secrets (I think that's the name I've settled on), has also been (discretely) known for selling poisons and drugs.

Luna never really liked to behave (as her Mom insisted) and often went venturing through the city on her own. To keep the potential for connections broad, in my head I just kind of assumed she's talked to all manner of characters (if she's bored enough she'll talk to a post.)

Currently she's trying to be an adventurer, but is more of a... merchant of oddities. Herbal remedies/medicine, ingredients, food, organic drugs, stolen goods...

So if you're interested, there's the Lominsan/Underworld-ish vibe from my toon. Ish. But don't feel pressured if it's not what you're looking for! o/

Aya's not someone he is likely to have none before hand, but I would say she would be a good person in his line of work to connect with, if he is operating in Ul'dah still (I realize that Limsa is his new home ^^).  Besides, she loves meeting enjoyable rogues and scoundrels :)

Franz nad Nero haven't met, but everything pretty much leads up to them meeting at some point. I'm sure we could work something out. (Or you'll meet Franz through Roen or things)

...I live on the RPC while at work too

Well, Nero and Coatleque have already met.  Probably not enough for him to form an opinion of her yet, but I'm sure they will be working together at some point due to her ties with Roen.

I think given recent events, we're more or less on a fixed intercept route right now. We'll see how it goes! :D

Hmm! I can think of some interesting ideas. Expect a PM from me later!

I think so too! I'll have to put some thought into this (since I...kind of try to avoid the Quicksand <_>

I most definitely have some things planned for poor Nero. Franz would be involved as well... some maybe we can kill two birds with one stone.

I suppose I should talk to you about the details...

Yes, Franz will probably get involved somehow, knowing Natalie. ...but meeting first to stir up some trouble could always be fun. ...if Nero isn't particularly hateful of Garleans, there's also that. Otherwise, a good old barfight or a past mercenary job could work as a fast introduction.

Considering he adopted a Garlean name, he does not hold too much enmity towards Garleans, no. :P

Past mercenary work is an angle we could potentially pursue. Barfights are something he prefers not to get involved in since they have a tendency to escalate.

Hmm...I like these angles. ...was he ever in Garlemald? Or did he ever supply things to the army? He might recognize Franz from that, despite Franz's memory loss. (one-sided intro). Or past mercenary work could be used, since that's how the "Unnamed Mercenary" made his living up until more recent events. Franz is just a temporary name, although I'd say the man likes it.

I know we touched base before about weaving some ideas together. Even though that's still in the air can always keep a tentative acquaintance.

Jancis now lives in the Limsa area and spends her days working for the Maelstrom by travelling the coast and assisting the people there. She's basically a travelling merchant and frequents the towns, docks, and sometimes the farms.

She grew up in the wild so her ideas on law are more idealistic and not exactly concerned about following them based on wordage (aka moral compass) and also lacks a lot of typical social graces so she can be manipulated into assisting out of ignorance to social customs. Also, as a medic, she's a typical helpful sort and has a habit of getting talked into doing harder labor around farms and docks because of it.

I can forum RP most of the time, it really depends on how heavy my workload is. Can expect a reply every couple of hours on average.
