Hello! I'm Mitsukuni, nice to meet you! :-)

 

I'm not new to FF14 or RPing but I am new to combining both in game! I've been interested into getting an RP linkshell in my main server (Siren) but there doesn't seem to be much RP action going on there.. 

 

SO! With a lil google search I managed to be recommended to try this forum out & also to get into the Balmung or Gilgamesh server. I managed to get 1 character on both to see which server is more active and friendlier.

 

Any recommended LS's or FC's that are newbie friendly?

 

I'd much appreciate the advice! And look forward to building new (and hopefully long lasting) friendships! :thumbsup:

Unfortunately for me Mitsukuni Haninozuka is taken in Balmung so I had to stick with the forename "Fujioka". If all goes according to my plan I do intend to transfer my Siren main (Oksana Vankraft), but before I make that investment, I wanted to dip my toe in the RP pool and see if it's warm. (corny I know.... )

 

I actually took a glance at your linkshell page and I must admit, it's a bit confusing for me to identify which LS is more newbie friendly but I just skimmed through it. I'll be sure to look more in depth to it!

I have an FC (Free Wing Society) and a LS (The Night Owls). We're not recruiting at this time due to having too many new members at once and needing to have an adjustment period to handle all of it.

 

The LS, however, is for everyone and anyone and caters towards those who are up at 'late' hours!

Oh yeah, I saw the "Night Owls" LS.... *sigh* if only my job allowed me to stay up late at night... Where to start? On Balmung most people will point you to the Quicksand in Ul'dah. Other hot-spots include the Drowned Wench in Limsa Lominsa, and various open-world taverns in the Shroud.

 

As far as Linkshells, there are many available depending on what your character is/does and what time you are active.

 

There is Lili's Free Wings and Night Owls as she stated.

 

Friends of Momodi is an OOC shell where a bunch of us just shoot-the-breeze between RP and dungeons.

 

OpenRP is another I've seen advertised.

 

The Sand Pearl is an IC linkshell for Ul'dahn law enforcement, as well as Sultanswarm for Sworn and Free Paladins.

 

There is a good mix of people from all time zones on the server. The largest concentrations being PST, EST, and Europe times. You'll find most people around evenings in those time zones. Hope to see you in game!

I must be honest about one thing.... during my first play through I kind of just skipped the entire story line. I noticed that when it comes to RPing it involves heavy around it (correct me if I'm wrong), so I'm a lil nervous about how I will be approaching the situation.

 

Again I'm not new to RPing or this game but I am a bit stuck on how both will coexist for me and how I should go about it. I'm sure there's FC's and LS's where one makes their own character story line that has nothing to do with the games story itself, right?

IC stuff goes into town square. The wiki also allows for free image hosting on it. 10mb max, I think?
