CalebAgron Posted November 7, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 7, 2014 So I'm hoping someone here is tech savy and can help me figure out whats going on with my new computer and FF14. I just yesterday purchased a new computer with specs: I7 Processor @ 4.00GHZ Nvidia Gforce GTX 970 Graphics Card 16 GB Memory And I'm having problems with some of the graphics in game. MOST of it seems to be working just fine, I took my character out of the Goblet and into other area's, went to limsa and stood at the top floor looking down and didnt experience the issue. In fact the problem seems to be limited to VERY long distance views OR cloud graphics.. happened in Coerthas as well. Anyone have any idea what is going on or how to fix this? Link to comment
Coatleque Posted November 7, 2014 Share #2 Posted November 7, 2014 First, look for updated drivers from the NVidia site. If you just bought the computer pre-built, chances are it's behind by a few months. Second, make sure it has good air flow and that the fans on the graphics card are spinning (and that air is coming out the exhaust vents). After bad drivers, the next leading cause of graphical glitches is an overheating GPU. They are more temperature sensitive than your CPU is. Link to comment

Thanks, updated the drivers and it SEEMS to have fixed the issue! Link to comment
Nebbs Posted November 7, 2014 Share #4 Posted November 7, 2014 Also check if you have "Use low-detail models on distant objects" checked or not under System Configuration > Graphics Settings. Link to comment
