Verad Posted December 6, 2014 Share #51 Posted December 6, 2014 As to relay what Kinono said, everyone also wants to be special snowflake to each of their own just like how I wanted it to be like that for my FC and myself , which is why they don't want to be that bystander which is understandable. Just disappointed about how people worded it really. If this is what you are taking from this exchange, then I'm not sure why you came here seeking advice. 1 Link to comment
Kage Posted December 6, 2014 Share #52 Posted December 6, 2014 What. The. Fuck? Just because some people have expressed some concerns about how -you- want to have a memorable and "important" event for you and your FC by forcing everyone into your headcanon or risk their own break in immersion or character does not mean you should put your own words and insecurities into other peoples' mouths. You have expressed an unwillingness to use chats or linkshells that would keep the plot from interfering with other peoples' rp because in your own words and thoughts it would make it unimportant. Why should people accept that you bombed city places or break their own immersion? Why should they be disrupted by what you want to do? People in this thread have said how you can not disrupt the community's rp. You can have your villain bomb not common places but Anelia's clinic. A friend of Anelia's private chambers. Anelia's home. By insisting that you are going to hit any public place, you are being selfish and taking away people's choice in the matter. 1 Link to comment
Perth Posted December 6, 2014 Share #53 Posted December 6, 2014 Just my 2 gil, and with all due respect, but please leave the global event plotting to Square-Enix. We pay them to write the big, massive catastrophies and play through world-shaking events, we don't pay to have someone else's headcanon forced on us. If you want to run a plot, great, I wholly encourage creativity, but expecting everyone to consent to things getting blown up around them is asking a bit much. Especially when it can interfere with their own plots, events, and derail their RP. This concisely puts my thoughts to words. Please, OP, consider what the posters in this thread are saying. Even if they disagree with you, they need to be considered because they're the ones being almost forced to deal with the aftermath of the fanon you're trying to push on the community for the sake of your personal story and Free Company. I am pretty sure it's not the insecurities that is the concern since it's been a while that many people have consistently avoided me from RPing with me because of personal reasons or my abilities of RPing. Considering that it was similar to the event that I had before this idea even came up. Link to comment

At this point, I just stopped caring about how I want to approach to this event. It's rather a concern that no matter what I do, it's looked down upon and people will criticize me or just avoid in interacting with me. But I won't mention names of course. Link to comment
Aldotsk Posted December 6, 2014 Author Share #56 Posted December 6, 2014 With this request by me as an OP, please lock this thread and also I do not want to discuss anything further than this. If you want to criticize about it more, then be my guest. I'll request the mods to close it. Link to comment
FreelanceWizard Posted December 6, 2014 Share #57 Posted December 6, 2014 Yeah... I think all the salient points have been made, and this isn't really going anywhere (and certainly nowhere positive). Please feel free to start a new discussion thread about these sorts of plots in RP Discussion if you'd like to continue the discussion on the protocol and implementation of such things. Thread closed. #magicAdminHat Link to comment
