Zetchryn Posted December 20, 2014 Share #1 Posted December 20, 2014 So, today I just discovered you can allocate stat points in. Neat, right? Lovely! I'm planning on making my way towards Dragoon... Which sort of way should I develop those stats? Also, random other question... Do my 'traits' from any of my classes transfer over with other classes? Link to comment
Merri Posted December 20, 2014 Share #2 Posted December 20, 2014 Traits are class specific, and enhance class abilities. As a Dragoon, all of your additional stat points will go into STR. Every last point~ For every job, it basically boils down to your class and it's "main" stat. So for Monk and Dragoon, it's strength. Paladin and Warrior have vitality (though some, such as myself, opt to go strength once current-tier endgame is on farm, but that's whole different can of worms). White Mage and Scholar have mind. Black Mage and Summoner have intelligence, and Ninja and Bard have dexterity. Link to comment

Also stat points are different for every class, and can be reset once you join a grand company. Link to comment

Kage Posted December 20, 2014 Share #5 Posted December 20, 2014 The only class that has an issue wit stat allocation is arcanist. Just put them into intelligence. Link to comment
Perth Posted December 20, 2014 Share #6 Posted December 20, 2014 The only class that has an issue wit stat allocation is arcanist. Just put them into intelligence. Unless you plan to strictly heal! In that case, you should stat into mind, but be warned, it'll make your summoner not be as efficient as if it was straight-specced for intelligence. Likewise, statting straight into intelligence will make healing a bit more difficult. It's the only job that really needs careful planning. (I learned that the hard way when I first started playing.)
