[align=center]One and all is invited to come give thanks and hear inspirational words in regards to Halone.[/align]

 

[align=center]Halone, mover of glaciers and goddess of war, commands the element of ice and is tied to the First Astral Moon (first month). She is depicted as a relentless warrior holding a bronze great-shield, and her symbol is three spears. Halone is also the patron of the Holy See of Ishgard, and is bitter rivals with Nophica.

[align=center]Event starts in Mor Dhona outside Revenant's Toll (X:23 Y:6) on Saturday January 17th at 5:00PM Eastern EST (2200 UTC).

Low level people outside of (20 and lower) will need to advise beforehand if they need passage to the venue.

 

Guards will be available to help all pilgrims to the event safely.

 

Pilgrims will be walking through dangerous frigid lands for quite some time as we head northern into Coerthas! Many layers, coats, and furs are required!

 

For Pilgrims:

  • During the performance, pilgrims are asked to be silent in the public channels. Emotes with /em, /say, and /yell are asked to be held off until the main performance is over.
  • Animation and sound emotes are welcomed! Please just turn the text off on them during the performance.
  • In lieu of reacting in /em and /say, pilgrims are encouraged to form parties with their friends and groups to react to each other in /p - that should help with the text bloat and keep the reactions more personal and immersed with the main people pilgrims want to interact with.
  • Anyone willing to host a "during performance" party for those who come on their own please contact me so I can find you at the event start and get people together to interact and meet. If a group of friends has room in their party and wouldn't mind hosting a new addition, that would be wonderful too. We'll sort it out at the start of the event.
  • After the performance, everyone is welcome to use /em and /say and can change parties as wanted.

Music and stories from some special guest speakers and bards will highlight the evening. After the presentation, everyone is encouraged to mingle, give prayers and thoughts, or partake in the smaller congregations.

 

Blessings will be given for strength and vigor to pilgrims. Warpriests will escort those brave and strong enough to The Fury's stone.

 

Entire main event is planned to last a hour with hosts staying around afterwards for free-form role play.[/align]

 

[align=center]~While this is a pilgrimage in celebration of one of the Twelve, really would like to express the theme and environment of this event is to come together and have an inspiration evening for each other and on reflection. This night will not have strong overtones of worship and ceremony.~[/align]

In this event, I'd wish to go for this event considering that Anelia is Twin Blade of Halone. Perhaps this will do for her to reflect in her life. 

 

 

I'll join in as a guard or whichever that may be a good opening slots to help out.

This month around I'm actually quite set with guards so I don't need anymore official ones, though I'm very happy with the offer and hate having to turn people away. But at this point we might have as many guards as pilgrims. :| woah

EDIT: only just realized that there's art of what looks like the wind pony in the OP and I have the wind pony. Maybe I should show up after all. =P

Osric you're just hoping we'll be on the beach for summer wear! Those two...

Really funny is I found that painting on Google Image search with a ton of random search names and I thought it was really fitting because Halone doesn't like Nophica and Nophica is tied to the Conjurers and Conjurers get a unicorn pony so... white unicorn in a blizzard.

 

So if you want to be a grinning fool on a white unicorn was the pilgrims walk by, I'll take a screenshot. hehehehe :)

 

Aya will be there to reflect upon the Glacier Queen, and the goddess' mixed impact upon her life.

I didn't write it in the event post, but the cat is out of the bag!! I'm so thrilled.

 

Ul'dah's own Aya will be showing up and making a special guest appearance.

Kopo will show up for guard duty, while simultaneously not giving a shit about the weather.

Also there are a lot of guards, I really don't have a job for Kopo to do. Appreciate the offer though!

No pressure! That sounds fantastic I'm really excited for the groups and how they'll react to the stories and the blessings in the free form!

 

I wonder if I can participate as part of the pilgrimage... I just passed 2 levels from 20 but... Ehh, I don't know, I want to join but I'm concerned over messing up! ><;

 

(...Agh... Where does one purchase winter clothing that doesn't involve the player shops? ><; )

 

There will be plenty of guards to destroy everything along the way to the spot. If you need help getting to Revenant's Toll just get in contact with me sometime before the event so I can run you out there. And by before I don't mean ten minutes...

 

And use your imagination, the hooded robe is lined or something. Get a hat. Gloves.

 

Basically just... don't be the bikini. :x

 

 

Speaking of outfits though big thank you to Erik for making some authentic Halone priest robes! Same as you can find on the NPCs in cutscenes and the like. The color is Woad Blue and this linen robe is level 36. He made an abundance of them and the circlets (level 18) if anyone is interested in following the Fury.

Well it's not just the matter of what to wear... It's where... and what... I'm not savvy in regards to what items there are, the names, the prices, etc.... In all my (limited) online/mmorpg, I never dealt with the fashion or the economic aspect of games... The fact of the matter is that I don't know where to get a hooded robe >.<

Thanks again for going to the trouble of listening to me prattle on.

 

Had a really neat idea of smaller groups having walking trips on their own for pilgrimage and stopping along the way. If only I could coordinate all that, but really branching out and making own mini adventurers is half the fun.
