g0ne Posted January 21, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 21, 2015 Hey, is anyone else having problems downloading/patching 2.5? Unable to download patch files [30413] [20495] E'yup, that error pops up of its own accord. Also, is it just my download speed that has hit rock bottom? Anyone else having these issues? Do not do this to me again, FFXIV. :frustrated: Link to comment
Unnamed Mercenary Posted January 21, 2015 Share #2 Posted January 21, 2015 Odd, but no issues when I patched last night. Try running the launcher in Administrator mode, in case it's because of a permissions error. edit: It could also just be an insane number of people trying to patch at the same time as well. Coatleque Posted January 21, 2015 Share #3 Posted January 21, 2015 I'm not at my home PC, so I'm not sure of the exact location, but... If your download hasn't even started yet, you may want to try clearing the download cache for the entire client. Patch files are stored (by default) in your C:\User\\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\ It could be that the file was corrupted. I forget the exact name of . It is something obvious though, like downloads, or client patches. Just delete everything in THAT folder, then restart the client. It will start downloading the most recent patch from fresh. Melody Posted January 21, 2015 Share #5 Posted January 21, 2015 I have this problem every single time. It'll be doing it's thing, then the download speed dies off and then the whole "Unable to download patch" box pops up. Not sure if it's just heavy traffic, or if it's something on my end, but it always picks up where it left off every single time I start it back up. Had about 20ish minutes of this to get the patch last night. It's a pain in the butt to have to baby-sit throughout the whole process. >_< Link to comment
