Hello everyone~!

 

I'm new to FFXIV (as in, my trial is only two days old), but I've been 1v1, forum, and tumblr RPing for 10+ years and I dabbled in MMORP for three years in World of Warcraft. My friend whom I've played with for years told me how excited she was about joining this community so I had to give it a try too. 

 

I was (am) a bit wary about introducing myself because I know very little about the world and the etiquette for FFXIV and there is just SO MUCH information to go through and it is rather intimidating. My RPing on WoW was mostly with close friends so they didn't mind so much when I messed up, but there are so many talented people here it is kind of scary to get started.

 

That being said, I love talking to random people and starting stories with characters out of nowhere, whether its something that is going to last for months/years, or only that day.

 

I've created a character on Balmung named Akay'a Zhwan. He is a thaumaturge Keeper Miqo'te, but besides that I haven't really figured out a story or background for him. I'd like to know more about the world beforehand. If you see him and are in the mood, please start playing with me! And you'll have to forgive me, but I have no editing skills whatsoever, so my pictures are just going to be screencaps.

You're going to really love it here, I promise. If you ever need help building your character or for tidbits of lore don't hesitate to ask around as well, pretty much everyone I've met since joining has been nothing but accommodating - even though the process itself is still rather intimidating! If you're ever up for RP just say the word as well. I'm fairly new to the lore as well, so mistakes don't bother me much at all since I'll be making them aplenty myself.

Hi and welcome! I don't blame you... Right?! It does feel intimating, at first, feeling like the greenhorn among royalty and the high-class here... except that they'd assure you not to feel that way, believe me >w<;

 

But no, I'm still not entirely savvy with the lore but I'm both learning little by little and it doesn't impede me from getting rps too! (Course, I'd want more rps from more people but bleh XP ) You just learn what you can, find what you could grasp onto to go with, and you can develop yourself on the go! Getting yourself integrated may take time (such as getting the idea on how things go and the like), but, eventually, you'll find a grove to ride along on =3
