Naw Garuda is still possible, it's Titan that makes you want to smash your head into a wall with pugs unless you get really lucky and get people who know what they're doing.

if you can live with the outdated graphics you will find that the original is far more fun and engaging. There is a LOT more to do, from actively hunting/searching for UFOs to manufacturing weapons, armor, items, vehicles, aircraft and selling them for profit. On top of that if I remember correctly you can have up to 16+ units on a map. Did I mention you can have multiple bases too? EDIT: If you do play the original here is a tip. Research Motion Scanners first and manufacture them to sell. They give the biggest profit margin until you can manufacture laser cannons and then fusion ball launchers.

Yup I'm one of them. I have UFO, TFTD, Apocalypse, Interceptor and Enemy Unknown/Within. The original is still the best imo. Edit: Personally I'm waiting for X Rebirth to come out on the 15th. I just hope it won't be a disappointment, the previous ones were awesome.

While generally the backround and behavior of my character is of my own design I will admit that his physical appearance was inspired by Kain Highwind. Though his RP storyline has been somewhat influenced by Siegfriend Schtauffen from the Soul Calibur as I realized there are a few similarities between the characters.....I think.

For some reason I really liked this one, I listened to it when I was creating my character profile and it really worked out for me. I think it would suit the Garlean Empire when their Legions were advancing on Grand Company positions. -kGuftnYHnQ

Ooc wise it would be whatever Ishgard is part of because of Dragoons. Ic wise none, Artorias is a freelance mercenary. Ishgard would have been his choice if Ishgard was a hyur run kingdom but since it's Elezen he won't be swearing any fealty to them. If anything he only wants their dragoon training.

Agreed we need more hairstyles, for example we need longer hair for midlander males too not just females. I want Kain's hairstyle from Dissidia 012:P

Ooooh I do like this thread, now let's see... Ok first up, this theme is actually from Neir and not Dark Souls like the video claims. However, I found it would a a fitting theme for Artorias when he's on an airship witnessing with his own eyes the horror and destruction Bahamut is causing to the troops below. My guess is that Imperial training for their soldiers would be something similar to this, or rather the philosophy behind it. Mind you this is just a guess too. Skip the first bit regarding the selection of infants. d3wIDATpXak

I see, so that changes a few things for me, I didn't realize Ishgard was an Elezen city, I always thought it belonged to the Hyur. That will change things where he pledges his allegiance to. I might just keep him as a merc instead like I originally planned. Either way, thanks for the info! It cleared up. I guess with race distribution you said there were mostly Elezen, Hyur and Roegadyn. Is it still possible that there were Miqo'te in the North? I'm asking for clarification because a good friend of mine plays one and we have it in our back story that Artorias wiped out her family during one of the Empire's invasions. Considering from what I heard it was mostly the Northern areas that were hit by the Empire so I want to make sure this isn't too lore breaking either.

Well, heck I just learned something new. Thank you for clarifying that for me, I thought it was just a name style they all had so I tried to follow suit. I had no idea the prefixes had a meaning. While it tickles my fancy to have my own Legion (I'd claim the Xth), my character is not a Legatus considering that SE already has 14 spots so I'm assuming they will fill that role with their own. The highest rank that I would give him without breaking lore or making this guy look god moded would probably be Centurion (an equivalent of a Captain in the modern day). So yes, I am going to change the name back to my original one. Besides I'm a bit of a lore Nazi and I hate having flaws in the profile that contradict what has already been established, it just irks me. Thanks for pointing that flaw out.

Yeah I was being iffy about the whole divine intervention thing itself as well. I'm honestly not too keen on the whole religion thing. I find the idea of being on an airship more appealing as well considering the plan was to have Artorias with the XIVth Legion. So yeah, I think I'll roll with that. To all of you who replied, thank you very much for clearing things up for me, I truly do appreciate it. For now I think I have what I was looking for in terms of Empire lore so I'm done pestering you all about it. I may, however, come pester you all in the future with questions regarding Ishgard (one of his goals is to become a dragoon after all) if I don't find the answers I was looking for myself. Well damn, that puts me in a pickle a bit. 99% casualty rate is pretty high and I have no idea what the Grand companies are even or if it would be even plausible that my character would have been part of them. The only other option which I could fit in with what I have planned for this character would be that he survived because of divine intervention as I am planing to tie his major storyline on going on to become a Dragoon and having his destiny await him in Ishgard. I am taking Halone as his patron deity as well since she is their patron goddess. Again though I am still researching so I don't know yet. I have to find some way for him to survive that whole ordeal, it is a major turning point for him because witnessing the chaos created by Bahamut is what is supposed to turn him against the Empire and become a deserter.

Hmmm.....in that case I guess I'll have to make Artorias part of the VIIth Legion in his past. Ummm....so here is the question, did any of them survive for this to work?
