Honestly, I'd like to say I'm using naming conventions, but I'm too attached to the name I came up with. "Eudalie" is just the name I really want for this character, and I might be able to get away with it for lore's sake since she's a Keeper mi'qote, but it's iffy. n wn;; The surname I'm giving her, "N'aal," might stand a chance at being lore-worthy, but only if I meet other players who may serve family/tribe roles, or I guess I could just include NPCs in her backstory. What do you guys think? Anyone else taking a whack at the naming conventions for culture and whatnot? :3

Welcome! Sounds like your character is going to be a great addition to the community! We always need an older guy to tell all the good stories around the fire, right? :3 As for learning about FFXIV lore, I suggest reading up on some of the wiki pages the RPC offers. It's far from just information on everyone's characters; there are tidbits about all of the cities, holidays, literature, and history on all of Eorzea. I've found it particularly helpful when reading up about the different races and cities to help establish more grounding for my character. n wn

Luckily, I got to RP a little bit toward the end of the beta. And on the Cactuar server! What a shocker! :3 I'm counting pennies to pre-order, and maybe convince a few friends to too!

I wouldn't worry too much about Gilgamesh having a lack of roleplayers. Consider that every server will most likely have some roleplayers, but Balmung and Gilgamesh were actually voted on by the entire community, I'm very sure you'll run into a plethora of roleplayers there. So if you're one of the players who are nervous about joining a Legacy server, or have an aversion to it, why not join Gilgamesh to help the community there grow even stronger? :moogle:

Hello everyone, it's very nice to meet you all! I'm new to the community, but not new to roleplay. :moogle: Sorry if I seem a bit awkward, I never know how to go about these introduction posts, and I'm a bit on the shy side. ; w; My character's name is Eudalie, (her surname got changed quite a bit!), and so far it seems like she'll be joining the community on the Gilgamesh server. If you ever need a hot meal or a healing hand, she's always ready to help!
