From 4 on they were pretty steampunky. Of course, none quite so much as 6, but the rest of them had a heavy element of it.

Actually, Final Fantasy tends to be more Steampunk than any other type of fantasy.

I work for a defense contractor doing 3d animation for military fire team training simulators. I'm not sure they would look kindly on ffxiv...maybe I could call it...research?

The only city I would possibly reroll is Zozo. Personally, I really liked Besaid. I also *gasp* liked 10. I would have been just as happy with any of the cities though. Zozo though...c'mon. It's Zozo. Best City Theme Music EVER! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lc5eBlwac6U

I used to leave my party idling in besaid while I went to sleep. Then I got the soundtrack. Besaid is very pretty. Besaid also has good music. Not great architecture though. I assume they don't need warm houses.

Well, my vote is sticking with Trabia. So it essentially doesn't count now. We're going to find out tomorrow that all of zam, eorzeapedia, core and gamefaqs changed their mind and are going to besaid. :ahriman: :bomb: :tonberry: :chocobo: (they can't stop staring at the lantern.)

Thank you guys. We have had quite a few long conversations while trying to get all the details for this hammered out. What you are seeing is just the first step in what I hope becomes the premier IC newspaper for the Final Fantasy XIV Community. We will release more information as we approach the release of our first official issue. The release date is TBA. I hope you all enjoy it.
