I loved VIII. I thought the story was very enjoyable. The battle system was terrible, but the story is why I play these games.

But it's not balance really. Mages hit really hard and have mp, but if we get hit we die. Straight up dead. With the way people are talking about the mp it is like saying warriors are never allowed to get healed. The truth is that it's not really an issue. By the time you run out of mana it has usually been at least half an hour. You can use your mana recovery spell. If not then you always have your spirit dart and whatever the thaum one is. -

I wish for once we could get dog people. And am I the only one who never really thought of mithra as the cutesy nyanya mrow purr things? I always pictured them as straight up hunters. They are never depicted in ffxi all cutesy, are they?

That's just the style. He does the same thing with most swords. For example: Celes doesn't use a katana. It is just drawn curved. I'm not saying that a Sam style job won't be introduced, or that katanas won't be in the game. I fully believe they will be. I'm just pointing out that the sword in the image could very easily be any type.

I just want musketeer to be unlocked. A pistol wielding healer is what I want to play! I'd love to be able to shoot cureshot or something like that. Heh, abilities: -Cureshot -Echoshot -Antishot -(whathaveyou)shot

Seriously, he's up there, in my opinion, among the top 5 composers of the past 50 years. Admittedly, I don't study, nor have I ever studied music. I love his work so much. Also, he offered the audience a cookie at the last Distant Worlds concert in DC. -
