  1. Tadir watches the exchange between the two for several minutes before finally interjecting with his questions. "So, what exactly happened that caused you to have need for Serenla's services in the first place? Last night you were brought in with rather extensive injuries. Today you don't seem to be quite up to normal movement. It takes quite a bit to take someone beyond healing magic." He smiled at Nedral, hoping she would understand the shift of emphasis. Considering her reluctance to answer, Tadir doesn't think she will mind.
  2. Well I hope to see both of you on this weekend. On a side note, I did notice that anytime I did something on a website on another computer on my network my time would jump from 1:20:XX to 12:50:XX, then drop back down about 20 seconds later.
  3. I'm okay with the owner not being able to change it. I would prefer that. What I want is for the weaver/armorer/leatherworker/whatever to be able to make those choices. So he or she can make a piece of armor or clothing, then create the exact same piece that looks totally different.
  4. I got mine at 4:30ish PM EST yesterday.
  5. This isn't guarenteed to work, but it might be worth a shot to speed up the downloads for those to try in the future.
  6. "Where is the wait staff?" Tadir looks around, wondering where the cute bartender from last night went as well, then shrugs. "Do you want a drink?" Without waiting for an answer he drops his barstool to all four legs again, stands up and leans over the bar. He scoots a bit farther so his feet are off the ground, kicking slightly to keep his balance. "...got one!" he grunts before slipping off the bar and returning to his feet with a glass full of beer. He sets it on the bar next to his and Nedral's chairs. "Join us? I'm sure you could tell us an intere..." Tadir's eyes widen slightly and he starts to grin as he realizes Shamad is a Dunesfolk. He coughs, "uh, I'm sure you could tell an interesting story."
  7. Tadir perks up slightly at hearing Nedral's comments. He lets his chair rock forward to both feet and gets up to move to the chair next to her. Taking the seat, he looks her in the eyes. "Slavers huh? Would you be interested in talking about your adventure a little bit? See if we can put a little story together for the paper?" Tadir smiles hopefully at her. He gives a little jump as the door slams open and Serenla drags Shamad back into the bar, harrasing him even more than she was before. The journalist chuckles and turns to the dunesfolk, lifting his glass in sympathy. "One of these might help." He turns back to Nedral. "Well?"
  8. Yup. I made two characters before I came to work today. Tadir is ingame! Kimiji is tentatively named right now, but she is ingame as well.
  9. 96%...Four minutes. I'm getting in the shower. When I get out it will be done downloading, but I still won't be able to play. [Edit: DONE!]
  10. Well, I've been at it half an hour and I'm 25% through. It's saying 1:53:35 left. [Edit: Up to 33.2% with 53 minutes left.] [Edit: 40% 40 minutes left.] [Edit: 70% and half an hour left. Not like it really matters. Beta isn't up, but we have a major storm going here and I want it to finish updating before we lose power.]
  11. Mines downloading as soon as I get home from work. My account is activated though.
  12. Very true. Plus it's all but impossible to pronounce seeker names.
  13. Seriously though, thank you guys. Now to try and come up with my companion's name. The only one of my standard names that might work for a seeker of the sun is Kimiji, but even that doesn't really fit.
  14. I don't think anyone is ignoring the Respect idea. That's what the past few pages have been about and why we're talking about leaving.
  15. Same. It's making me feel like a tailor in galaxies again. But the differences between two armors with the same mesh are absurd! When they have the brown armor next to the white and gold armor. They look NOTHING alike, but have the exact same mesh with vertex shaving. /giddy
  16. I don't think so. I think what they are saying is that they have such a huge variety of equipment because they can edit it in such a way. It doesn't take a huge drain on memory and server resources because it's all the same model. However, if we CAN edit that stuff ourselves...oh my god. I will be stupidly excited.
  17. Episode 3 of Making of a Realm has been released. This time they are focusing on the equipment in the game. Give it a look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wc0ilSksWBQ&feature=player_embedded "In respect for requests from the fans, we may even have a golden subliger in the works." *forehead smack*
  18. "I don't envy him." he says, indicating Shamad with a chuckle. Tadir tilts back in his chair again. "My story? It's pretty short. My editor sent me out here to get a story that no one wants to read. I've been wasting time trying to get it. I have a couple other articles for...Oh, I work for a newspaper." He gives a slight smirk. "I have a couple other articles for him, so I'll finally be getting out of this desert soon." He stretches, but leans to far back in his chair. As it starts to tip backward he hooks one of his feet under the bar to catch himself. Pulling himself back to a safe, tilted back position Tadir takes another sip of his beer. He rubs idly at a spot of beer that had spilled on his shirt. "And you? I can't help but notice your bruise there. Bit of a confrontation somewhere?"
  19. Or the gold. In their defense gold really isn't supposed to tarnish. Who gave you this gold...wait...is that? YES! It's better than gold! It's chocolate wrapped in gold colored foil! On a serious note, thanks for the objective thoughts. It's really hard to find on the zam or eorzea boards. I'm beginning to think it's a waste of time going to those forums, but I'll keep going anyway.
  20. Tadir almost retches at the smell of whatever the little woman was cooking. When she finally abandons her attempt at the culinary arts Tadir looks to Nedral. "I've been told that. In the long run it tends to be true, but getting rid of a hangover drinking water takes hours. It only takes one beer." He chuckles softly. "So I drink water after the beer. Never heard of the saying the hair of the dog that bit ya?" Tadir allows his chair to fall to all four feet and winces at the impact. "Anyway, I've found this to be the most effective method of dealing with the morning after. A beer and a nice piece of fish...all they seem to have here is eggs and meat. How do they survive without seafood?" he asks in a manor clearly indicating it's not a real question. Obviously no one could really survive in a land without sea food. The man glances back over his shoulder at the little guys attempting to eat whatever it was the woman had been failing to cook. Glancing back at Nedral he says, "This beer is better than whatever they're having." He gestures with his head.
  21. That is less than helpful. Do you mean us trying to set up an IRC channel, the FFOchat response to rpers, or what?
  22. Tadir glances over at the Miqo'te who had just poured herself a drink. "A woman after my own heart." He smiles playfully at her and raises his glass, wincing as soon as he does. "This is what comes of drinking in a desert..." he mutters He looks queerly at the Miqo'te, trying to place her from last night. "I'm Tadir," he says with a little wave. "Not exactly in finest form right now, but what can I say? Last night got out of hand." He chuckles as softly as he can without his head exploding.
