I don't have to be "nice" to them, nor do I have to be a dick to them. I treat everyone neutrally until they show me how much respect they deserve to be given. This is done by measuring how much respect they give to me. If they're going to stomp around and beat their chests proclaiming how much "RP'ers suck" then I'll make it a point to not deal with them. Unless you're psychic you can't know what the actual populations will be~~~ Also, server loads are going to misrepresentative for the first 3 months of the game, which is the general amount of time it will take all the WoW goons to pick up the game, bitch about it not being WoW and then leave. So don't knee-jerk the "server populations" until AT LEAST December or January.

That's ok, I don't care about their members either. Why do we have to go around walking on eggshells? I never hid the fact I was an RP'er in any game regardless of what kind of server I was on and I've never gotten overly griefed by anyone.

Sorry, I'm sure I'd have been able to make a more coherent, correct reprisal to the issue had it been brought up in the public areas of the site, instead of done like some shady backroom deal in the Council-only section.

Pardon my language (and rhetoric) but, WHO THE FUCK thought it would be a "good idea" to advocate stripping away the ability of the community as a whole to decide where it would go? Mad props to you Castiel for shooting that tyrannical proposition down. :approve: I've been trying to hold my tongue over this asinine debacle about server selection but c'mon. This is getting ridiculous. I get that some people were "inconvenienced" in beta when the game was randomly assigning servers and people who got stuck on Exdeath and where ever else had to reroll on Jecht only because DUE TO RANDOM CHANCE most of us ended up there BEFORE they gave us the option to select a server. But there is absolutely zero reason to try and force a hardline decision down the throat of the community simply because the fact of the matter is THERE IS NO URGENCY TO THIS DECISION. Game goes live in 3 (three) weeks, why do you people INSIST on whipping yourselves up into a frenzy over beta, BETA. It's all going to be wiped at launch anyway (names aside), so just relax. I understand people want to snipe their own "original creation do not steal" character names like Cid Do'Urden or Mary Sue Kirk before other people do and in order to do that "ASAP" I understand the desire to just say, "This is the decision, you hoi polloi can like it or lump it." However I can in no capacity approve or advocate such a totalitarian proposition. Anyone who wishes to take away the voice of the community, in my mind, doesn't want to have a community to begin with, they want drones who'll blindly bend to their own wishes. I don't know who the genius is/was behind that idea but I am seriously disappointed that someone could think that would be "ok."

so I've been running around with a baby conjurer the past few days...I don't understand the complaints about MP because I've yet to run into a problem.

Speaking of the 8 day head start...how are we supposed to get into that exactly? My local Gamestop didn't give me a CD-key or anything when I pre-ordered my C.E.

Armi, did they level-cap the beta? Because I honestly haven't been paying attention. For all the community knows casters can get more mana effecient at higher job levels? Does one of the character stats effect your base mana pool? Does higher level caster gear give you more mana or an Auto-Refresh kinda ability? I'm still not clear about how job skills work in game but why not stuff a bow in your backpack along with your mage-stick so you can plink-plink mobs when you don't have to drop a heal/buff/nuke? Or even better than a bow...pistols/muskets. Can you say Aw damn...I think I finally finished Siben's character. O_O

At the risk of sounding elitist, arrogant, and uninformed (having not gotten a chance to play the beta) this is the way Mages SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE BEEN, in every game, EVER. Unlike every other MMO where caster classes are cheap, overpowered, and nigh-unstoppable from a PVP standpoint, and just straight up ridiculous in PVE. Anyone complaining about this has never played a cleric/wizard/sorcerer in a traditional PnP, read any non-dragonlance Fantasy literature or they played a Mage/Sorcerer in previous MMOs and have yet to recover from having their invulnerable rug pulled out from underneath them. That being said, I'm sure that the possibility to be an absolutely amazing caster is present in the game. Whether or not "class veterans" have the skill and determination to bring out the potential is up to them. On the other hand; if no one wants to play a caster/healer, it'll make me all the happier because I fully intend to and the less of us there are the more valuable we become ;P

yeah, i noticed i forgot the neck and hands after i uploaded it, i'll have to take another crack at it tomorrow night. I haven't really worked much with shading at all so it's all new to me.
