    New Transfer!

Welcome! As Magellan said, much of the community on Gilgamesh visits gilgamesh-rp.com, though there are still a few folks who browse the RPC occasionally. Feel free to contact Adolar Stone ingame. Always up to meeting new people and I would be glad to direct you to some helpful linkshells.

    Hola

Hello there and welcome! Whatever your decision is, us folks on Gilgamesh would be glad to help you out. Feel free to contact Adolar Stone ingame and I'll direct you to some helpful linkshells and whatnot. Would also recommend checking out www.gilgamesh-rp.com as that's where much of our community congregates outside of the game. Hope to see you around!
  3. Great folks from this FC and Hadhos is a pretty cool dude. Have my official thumbs up emoticon stamp of approval.
  4. Adolar usually considers himself a "ranger" or "hunter" when asked about his skills. "Marksman" could work too but that makes him sound as if he's an expert at what he does, something he would never really say about himself.
  5. Envisage of Night is an FC based around mercenaries, which seem to be right up your alley. Some great folks there too.
  6. Just letting everyone know that this LS has become inactive but there's a new OOC hub here: http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=7522 Be sure to send a /tell to Zachree Rowlaux (or anyone else in the LS, since everyone has invite privileges, including me) if you're interested in an invite to the new LS.
  7. Kind of late but I forgot to post my info that I sent to Chiyo earlier. Name: Adolar Stone Age: 20 Weapon: Bow Description: A young, cautious, and slightly naive Keeper of the Moon. Adopted into a Highlander family and has kept close ties with his parents ever since. Experience: Trained with a bow but usually very modest of his abilities. Has been taught leatherworking, carpentry, and cooking and has also grown to become very practical when out in the wilderness, thanks to the skills taught by his father. He can become a little hesitant when it comes to killing people but has slowly tried to grow out of this fear, partly due to survival. Specialties: Archery, hunting, leatherworking, cooking, carpentry (still need to get CRP to 50 OOCly though)
  8. It should be around 7 PM EST today. See you there!
  9. Would be interesting if this became a regular thing, or perhaps turn the location into a health clinic whenever someone gets injured (Which I'm guessing would be quite often. Being adventurers and all. :cactuar: )
  10. Hey there, welcome to Gilgamesh! I would be more than happy to direct you both to a few OOC LSs, as well as some IC LSs as well. Feel free to send a PM to Adolar Stone or Ghen'li Verah if you catch either of them online. I'm usually open to RP as well.
  11. Gilgamesh is a pretty great server, in my opinion. Smaller size compared to Balmung but I've not had a problem with finding RP around and most of the people are pretty nice to newcomers. Think I've already mentioned it already but I would be glad to get in contact with you as well. I'm usually on Adolar Stone or my alt Ghen'li Verah so just send a /tell to either of them if they're online.
  12. This is an interesting idea. Would love to make an alt for this. Sign me up! If you're intending to play Riven Stars as more than just an NPC then it may not be a good idea to sign her up for this since the intent is for your character to lose. >_> Though on a related note, I was thinking of starting up an OOC LS for evil/morally questionable characters that were interested in more than just losing to the good guys. Riven Stars would be welcome to join that one.
  13. Here's a guide to Miqo'te naming conventions for both Seekers of the Sun and Keepers of the Moon. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/61150-Miqo-te-Naming-Conventions Keep in mind however that it's not entirely necessary to follow these naming conventions if you have a proper IC explanation for the deviation. For example, Adolar is a Keeper of the Moon but he has a Highlander name from getting adopted into a Highlander family. It can be as basic as that. Most people don't make too much of a fuss about names though, from my experience.
  14. I don't see anything wrong with solo RPing. Helps make the game feel much more immersive when you slow down and treat things in the world as living entities. It's actually something I would like to see more often but I can understand if people consider it to be pointless to emote when no other RPers are around. And like others said, it's a great way to indicate that you're currently IC. Basically just do what feels fun for you.

    Hello!

Hey there welcome. Someone actually posted an RP LS for Cactuar a while back. Can't tell if it's active since I don't play on that server. It's over here: http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=6314 The main RP servers designated by the community is Balmung and Gilgamesh. So you're free to make a character on either of those servers if you wish. I'm personally from Gilgamesh and although our community is small, I've met some amazing people here and found it to generally be very friendly and welcoming. Feel free to send a /tell to Adolar Stone or Ghen'li Verah if you ever decide to make a move here.
  16. Would be glad to help you with all of those things. Feel free to toss a /tell to Adolar Stone or Ghen'li Verah ingame if you catch either of them online.
  17. I had this problem when I attempted to renew my sub twice already. Second time it happened, it locked my account from getting paid for 30 days. :dazed: So basically, in order to get around the lock, I had to buy one of those game time cards and input the code to buy some Crysta. But then that gave me an error so I had to contact customer service so that they were able to manually put the Crysta in my account. So yeah...the payment system is great! :frustrated:

Welcome! Always good to see new faces in our community. Since we're both on Gilgamesh, I would be more than happy to invite you into a few OOC linkshells you may be interested in. Just shoot a /tell to Adolar Stone or Ghen'li Verah if you catch either of them ingame. I'm also up for RP usually (especially since I have been getting bored of the PvE lately. >_>) So don't be afraid to ask!
  19. Besides the usual adventuring, Adolar loves to read, often adventure novels (it would probably be considered fantasy novels in the real world. ). It's not something I have had much chance to RP but he usually carries around at least one book with him whenever he's away from home, which is quite often lately. He also has a thing for crafting and cooking. Growing up with an excellent blacksmith of a dad taught him the value of a well-crafted item so he would always pay close attention to every little detail with anything he creates. He doesn't believe his work is very good, however... Also, the love for fishing is something that seems to be shared among all of my characters. It's such a simple hobby that it's hard for them not to enjoy it.
  20. Welcome! If you do plan to make a character on Gilgamesh, I also have several RP linkshells you could be interested in joining. Feel free to add Adolar Stone or Ghen'li Verah if you catch either of them online. I'm also usually open for RP.
  21. Hey there, welcome to Gilgamesh! If you haven't already, you could check out [here] for some linkshells or an FC that would fit your character. There's quite a variety so I'm sure you will be able to find one that works for you. I may not always be fully IC but I would be more than happy to RP if I ever come across you while out in the world. Feel free to send a /tell to Adolar Stone or Ghen'li Verah if you ever catch any of them online. I would also be more than happy to invite you to a few linkshells that you may be interested in.
  22. Not to say we are desperate but WE ARE DESPERATE!!! Well, maybe not -that- much... :cactuar: But anywho, if there are any mage type characters out there who are interested in becoming an IC leader of a clan, feel free to shoot me or Bruden a PM, or contact any of the people listed in the OP ingame. We're pretty flexible on character concepts so don't be afraid to discuss your character with us and we'll figure out a way to fit him/her into our storyline. Thanks!
  23. That's actually something I was planning to suggest to Olyver. A way to make sure each FC can spread their own message equally. Thanks for the suggestion. There has been FCs who were aligned in other cities participating in the events so it's really your choice if you prefer to go to the city that fits your FC or not.
