I have a question about early access, since i know nothing about it. will it be done in phases like SW:TOR was? or is everyone who has early access getting thrown in at the same time?

I didn't even know there was going to be a marriage system in this game....Shows what very little research i actually did about the game mechanics. this is awesome new news to me.

A singing character is severely difficult to pull off and i have the upmost respect for anybody that can pull it off convincingly. the variations in voice, the pitches, the ranges these are things that are all extremely difficult to pull off through text alone. if you plan on having your bard sing in taverns etc.. one idea i would put forward is to look on youtube for some instrumentals that could go with what you write so that the people know what rhythm you are taking.

Up until a few days ago i was locked into guild wars, but people are leaving and the world just ran dry for me, i'm keeping a close eye on Wildstar and World of Darkness.

i gave you rep because this cleared up my confusion as to what a legacy server actually is, having not played 1.0 i didn't really take notice of the details, i knew the whole "legacy" thing was people who played 1.0 but that's about it. I like this whole "Warriors of Light" concept but i have to say i do have issues with it. you have given people the option to have a Warrior of Light even though they have not played 1.0 and that's awesome, it's very welcoming to people like me who didn't play 1.0 (though i will not be using it) Saying that though, i have a feeling this will encourage the formation of cliques (Which is something i have heard people are worried about on Balmung but this is the only thing that has made me take that thought pattern) cliques are never good for RP. on the one hand you have...lets call them then "Veteran warrior of light" players, the ones that actually played 1.0 and then on the other you have the warriors of light players that didn't play 1.0. With an MMO there is always a wide variety of people, especially when it comes to an RP environment with so many people interacting all the time, it's only a matter of time before we get a "Veteran warrior of light" player that looks down their noses at the regular ones for not actually earning the right to use that title. this could lead that vet to searching out other vets that feel the same way, which in turn forms a clique that could very well shun the regular warrior of light players. i'm not saying it will happen but it's a possibility. another issue would be the "That guy" situation, you know those people that have played a previous game and there for think they have ultimate domain and knowledge over all newbies and see fit to throw it in their faces with such quotes as "I played THE FIRST GAME so I know more than YOU!" The type of person we look at and say "Don't be that guy..." the problem i see here is that you are giving "That guy" a title to solidify his already god-like feelings over the newbies and when someone like that comes a long (and it's not uncommon) the newbies won't feel so welcomed, same goes for the whole "Vet warriors of light" situation i put down. Don't get me wrong, i personally really like the idea but i think it would need something more than just "played the first game" you need to tack on some rules like "i played the first game and i'm not an asshat" I've run into the types of people i've talked about in pretty much every single MMO i've played (Champions Online, The Secret World, Swtor, Guild wars 2 and so on) they are never very welcoming to new players and from what i have seen, this game is getting a lot of people that are not only new to the universe, but are new to RP in general. I know this whole "Warriors of light" thing seems to be designed to be a small thing but there are those players out there that will take this thing in an entirely different light and expect special treatment.

Deadpool, though he's an Antihero and not an actual hero, i don't think i really need to explain why i love Deadpool. he is one of those characters that you either love or you hate so explaining why i love Deadpool would not benefit anyone. My favorite comic book line so far is Deadpool kills, the killology has been amazing starting with the 4 part "Deadpool kills the marvel universe" then moving on to "Deadpool: Killustrated" and now onto "Deadpool Kills Deadpool"

I don't understand while people can't play a thief the way they want to play a thief. i played a thief/assassin in guild wars and my dude was evil as all hell, no real regard for others and that's something i made clear and damn anyone else who had a problem with it. People can play a thief any way they chose, from a noble thief who steals from the rich and gives to the poor to a vile thief who will take anything from anyone just to make some fast coin. there is an in between, for example an espionage type thief. say you have an empire and a resistance movement, the resistance has a thief that they send on a mission to steal from a random citizen and plant that item that was stolen on a weapon merchant who freely supplies weapons to the empire, the item being found would result in said merchants imprisonment. this is an example of a thief stealing from an innocent civilian for the greater good, does this action make this thief evil? not in my opinion. a thief isn't some 2D stereotypical role that has to be played one way or the other, just like any other role it can be played however the player see's fit. isn't that what we are here for? so long as a character is not lore breaking i don't see any problem.

Honestly i would prefer to be apart of a pre-existing community, there's nothing i like more than hopping into a game and being able to RP with a bunch of nice folk! I do have a concept in mind, a Hyur Gladiator. though as with all my characters i like to use them as a lore learning tool, i always find it's much more fun to learn the lore as you play the game. My character "Garret Irngard" will be an amnesiac, remembering only the basics of his combat skills and his name (or is it his name? he can't really remember lol) Though he won't be completely dumb to the world, i will learn some base lore to create a base back story but other than that my character will be free to learn and evolve, i love my characters to evolve through interaction and experience rather than have a character that has a story so established they become set in their ways. I'm hoping i can land him into a mercenary or personal bodyguard type role so if there is anyone out there that is looking for a bodyguard or if there are any mercenary type groups then let me know. the bodyguard role is also not limited to single people, if there are any houses or families that want protection then shoot me a message.

RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy):Medium-Heavy: I spend most of my time engaged in RP, that's not to say that i won't do anything else. I will happily Run dungeons and do other PvE type things, i'm also up for 1v1 duels (if this game has them) but i refuse to mass scale PvP, i hate it! lol Views on RP combat and injuries:I have no problem with combat so long as it is organized, i've been in too many situations where the combat has been text based and unorganized which just leads to people abusing it and "God-Modding". Injuries, it all depends on the injury, for example if my guy gets stabbed in the chest, that's not exactly an injury i would feel comfortable in shrugging off, if it's something like a cut to the leg or a broken wrist or something minor then i will probably RP it out as recovering quickly so it doesn't hinder any RP. Views on IC romance:I love a good romance, even though i'm not one for pure lovey-dovey. i like mature, adult romance (And no i'm not talking about ERP here) what i mean by that is i like romance where the two characters involved are not sitting around acting like a couple of teenagers with the whole "I love you blah blah blah" every five seconds. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): So many opportunities in non-romantic RP, the stories are pretty much endless and that's why it makes up 90% of my RP. Views on lore:I am very sketchy on the lore of this universe, while i've been a final fantasy fan for a long time, every universe tends to be much different with so much new lore to learn, i wil be hoping to learn as much as i can while i play. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): The /say function should be kept strictly IC unless you are just out in the field with your buds and having a good OOC time, then it's understandable. Linkshell, which is pretty much guild chat (i think atleast) is varied. in guilds i have been apart of in other games it was mostly OOC though we pushed it IC when we wanted to use it as a long distance communicator. it was a pretty cool system and worked well. Hey there all! Experienced RPer here, i've spent a lot of time RPing over the years. I've gone from simple message RP over things like MSN messenger to RPing in MMO's MMO Experience: Champions Online Star Wars: The Old Republic DCUO (Though very briefly) 9 Dragons (also very briefly) The Secret World Guild Wars 2 I was looking out for an Enjin community since i decided to make the jump from GW2 to FFXIV and spend the majority of my time on Enjin but i couldn't find one so i googled for RP communities and here i am! I'm a 26 year old male from the UK and i'll be joining whatever server it is that has been made the officially unofficial RP server for the game, whether it be NA or EU (I've spent most of my MMO RP time on NA servers when i've had a server choice) I look forward to playing with you guys!
