No dance emotes, but.. Oh well. WoW summoned the apocalypse anyway. Where else can you see Zombies riding dinosaurs standing on sharks that fire friggin lazerbeams?
-
Well, basicly, Hiname would still be at home doing fully on her own. As I was terribly bored and thought playing a bit of RP here on the board would bring me through the day, what kinda backfired as timezones suck, I had to come up with a way to make her appear away from her home in Gridania. So.. what left to do.

[Well, Im bored and as the rule to use this city only does not seem to go away for a while, I guess I have to bend things a bit when I dont want to drop dead with boredom. *snicker* Rules are pretty simple... As I dont see any need to set some up, expect the ones clearly written all over this pretty board full of storys. Have fun. *smiles*] Things might have been peacefull in the grand capital. And they more likely will remain peacefull, as the single figure walking around the place and putting flyers ons everal places around the streets would surely not cause much trouble. Humming peacefully for her own, the young Miqo'te woman carried a large pack of flyers under her arm and a box of nails in her hand. Whenever she reached a promising spot, she stopped and nailed another flyer on the place before moving along. Most of those pieces of parchment were nailed down on places of trade and comerce.. It seemed like she tried to avoid taverns and such things alike, though she dropped a few flyers around thema s well. Sometimes, people frequenting such places were a needed evil. The flyers she nailed down all over the city were speaking of a craftmanshiip guild called the Silver Anvil. The simple fact that there was no place or person to speak too for joining was part of the whole idea. Getting people interested and looking usaly helped more then plain, simple advertising. The sun was high, as the young sunseeker woman in the simple, worn out leather clothes sat down on a puplic bench near the harbor area. Her somehow cute, flopped over ears twitching faintly in the breeze as she groaned from walking around for many hours since the early morning. The box of nails were empty and the flyers all gone, so she could take a well deserved rest. With a slight groan, she nimble jumped back on her feet and headed toward the bigger areas of the city again. She needed to make sure that, in a few days or weeks, people who were interested indeed "had" a place to come and join at. So she needed at least a little recruitment branch. "Sigh... Someone could have told me that this will be more running around the place then acctual work. Everything was so much more easy back home. Just me and my forge..." So it happened that, on the bigger plaza of the city not far from the Inn and the Adventurers Guild, a young miqo'te and a tall seawolf roegadyn had a rather loud.. argument, that echoed through many streets. "NO FUGGIN' WAY IM GONNA PAY THAT!" Making her angry was an achievement of its own, but making her yell meant something was seriously wrong. Appearently, the young woman was not willing to pay the price for that, rather tiny, shop-area that should basicly serve as nothing more then a small recruiment-area while she planned to set up her headquarters way back home away from this big city filled with the smell of the sea. And that argument would clearly go on for a long while to come.

He'll stop with that once the batteries die during a arena-match. *giggle* -
MORE Silver Anvil events! Oh my god! These should be the last ones for a while now, we're running out on ideas. And time to realize them. hihi Material Treasure Hunt Raw material of all kinda is a treasure to the silver anvil, no doubt. Only with top notch material can we create goods of unparalleled quality. So we offer a chance for adventurers all across the world to make decent profit. Every now and then, the Silver Anvil will announce a special kind of treasure hunt. Both represantants of the Anvil and the volunteering adventurers will gather near a certain location, depending on the current need of special material. After it was checked that the bags of the adventurers are empty, so there is no unfair advantage of bringing rare goods along, the race begins. The rules are pretty simple. Depending by the size of the area, a time limit will be set. During this time limit, the participants are free to roam the area and gather what they are able too. After the time limit ran out, they gather at the starting point again. Whoever managed to bring the rarest material or the most of this material, won the race and a decent, valuable price! Those who were not able to win still have the chance to sell their gathered goods to the Anvil for a fitting price to compensate for their time and effort. Crafter of the Month ( This event is still a maybe, depending on the assistance of game-mechanics. ) Maybe not really an event, but something we'd like to notice. We "try" to keep record of the sold goods of each crafter. While that is far from easy (unless the craftet items wear a nametag of its creator), the numbers should be shown on our blackboard. By the end of the month, the crafter who achieved the highest sells is awarded with the Crafter of the Month. The benefits of that, will remain a secret until now. lets just say its something that will change depending on the profession of the crafter. Sponsoring! If there is a chance to make money, you can bet that the Anvil is not far. You are looking for someone to assist you in building something up or just need a big name behind you to ensure the success of your plan or event? Chances are good we have an open ear for you.

You request, I follow. So... where did we stopped? I "tried" to have one during Aion. Somehow, I can't play alone. Without someone to enjoy the game with me, its only half as mch fun. Plus, Im a sucker for romance. *snicker* Luckily, I have a cuddly friend who will follow right behind with me. If the relationship is WELL DONE and REALISTIC, it can be a wonderfull thing. Though it requires a great deal of trust to the other person. And, for me again, there is a very fine line between two things that can make the differance between a Relationship and... "That other side", as there is no really a word for what I have in mind. True, a real relationship cant go well without a certain level of intimacy. Question is, HOW this level is worked with in RP. IF it is played... There are endless ways, between "Okay, our chars go to bed. Have they done anything during the night?" and the real thing. Now the question... CS or eRP? The line is thin, but it is there. CS (Cybersex) is.. well, disgusting, focused around the one and only thing and dont give a damn about the character, as its centered around the players own likes and desires. eRP is centered around the character, his/her desires and tastefull writing, as eRP can be a GREAT thing, if done properly. Interesting fact, that it can be fun without even being erotic. The biggets deal is keeping an RP-Relationship "running"... as the days fly by much faster then RL-Days, a relationship can dull pretty quicly. Both sides should make sure it remains interesting. While it is s"just" RP, one should always ask themselves "What could I do to make him/her happy?" It helps a lot. Not everyone would like to see their character sad or crying because his/her lover broke up as it became dull and boring. Phew.. enough wall of text for now.

I honestly have no clue... Most likely Hiname wont regard divine protection or anything, too much centered around the stuff she creates. So perhaps the Builder, if any...

I spend some time thinking about Final Fantasy in general.. and then how it might work out as a MMO. Sure, i fully missed the first Online-FF and all that, but there are some things that made me giggle while imagining, just because how they would turn out in a bigger scale Final Fantasy. So I ask you, share your crazy ideas. As for me... Lets see, what do I see comming.. A huge cactuar raid-boss somewhere endgame that one-shots the tank with a million needles! King Tonberry that has to be tanked by a healer so Curse of the Fallen does not one-shot everyone! MORE Tonberrys! ... Honestly, you just have to love these little critters.. *cuddles her plush tonberry* Some famous jackass named Cid. ... Oh come on, there has to be one. Your turn, boys and girls.

Other activities of the Silver Anvil While the monthly market is of course a busting center of comerce and life, selling and buying goods is not the only thing you can do there! Several other things will be offered, for fun and opportunity! For example... The Starfall Table Starfall is a game of dice once played by guards and sentinals of old times. Recently rediscovered, it is a game often found in places of commercial opportunitys. The rules are simple. Its a game for 2 to 6 players, and all you need is something to write (Or a good memory) and six dices. The game begins, every player seets the table minimum of gil. Then Player one throws all the dice and checks its numbers. Dice that share a visible number, can be set aside. Example: After that, the player may rise its bet of gil. And then throw the remaining dices again. If the remaining dice show a number the player has set aside before, he could add them to these. Example: After that, the players may rise again, if they wish so. the player then notes his score of the round and its the next players turn. The game is repeated util 3 turns were played, then the gathered points will be added. The highest score wins! But there are some additional rules. Lets say this was a game of three players.. and lets use fictional numbers for an easy example. Scores: Obviously, Player 2 would have won, right? Wrong! As the other two players managed to trigger special rules of the games. Player 1 managed a "Starfall", while player 3 managed a "Shooting Star". Starfall: You were able to score higher each round, making the stars fall for your glory! Your total score gets doubled! So player 1 indeed managed to score a total of 36. Shooting Star: You were able to double your score each round! The stars burn with joy as they fall for you! Your total score gets multiplied by four! So player 3 is clearly the winner with a total score of 56! To the winner goes the spoils of the bet money, good game and good luck next time! But what else do we have to offer? Well there still is.. The Crystal Gamble Crystals, a valuable good for the Silver Anvil as they are vital to their art just as ore and wood. At the Crystal Gamble, you are able to round up a nice sum of money for your gathered crystals. After a base evaluation of the crystal you offer, depending on the current need of the Anvil for this kind of crystal and its quality, you are given a bracelet with a color. While wandering the market area, try to spot others that wear the same kind of bracelet, as that logically mean they offer the same level of need and quality as you do. Near the end of the market time, bring those together who wear the same kind of bracelet. the more you manage, the higher the price multiplier for your gathered crystals! If you come alone, the price for your crystals may be much less then you hoped for. The grand auction! The great final of every montly market, the grand auction. At this moment, goods of exeptional quality will be sold, may they be crafted goods that are worth a fortune or true masterpieces or treasures found ind ark, deep caves. if you are looking for a great deal, this may be your chance! You are free to give such items to the Silver Anvil for the auction, but note that the Anvil will have a cut of the sold items value after having it sold! The delivery service. Great shipments, like weapon and armor deliverys for a militia or a mercanery guild, are delivered by wagon and chocobo, as we cannot expect them to visit our workshops to pick the crates up one by one. Such travels are often difficult and dangerous, with thieves and monsters on the road, thus the Silver Anvil is willing to pay hired blades as a protection service for the track. Thats all until now, I hope you found something to look forward too!

So much Nightwish. Yes, i used to be a big fan. *nods sagely* That is, as long Tarja did the singing for them, before that new wannabe pop-princess took her place. *shivers in disgust* Now, lets see... Amano Tsukiko - Koe My favorite artist ever. this song esspecially... She sings with emotion and passion, it makes me tremble everytime. Oh and she returned to music buiseness, I have to get myself some ticket for her next concert.. *squeels like some cheesy fangirl* Amano Tsukiko - Chou My second favorite of her. Formerly the theme-song to my warrior I played in WoW.

Some more informations concerning the wole idea behind the guild... The whole idea is pretty much centered around two things. First, to obviously have a RP-Linkshell that is heavily build its roleplay around craftmanship and comerce, as it should be rather obvious by now. The second thing is, if there is someone on the server, in roleplay and perhaps outside, that wants something crafted, the first idea that comes to mind is request aid of the Silver Anvil, as a trademark of quality and precision, the first place you go when you want something done, ebcause chances are given that the servers mostd edicated crafters will have their home here with us. Besides the obvious fact that leaves lots and lots of opportunities for roleplay in any kind, we can aim for some good and honest reputation for what we do. As mentioned, plans are to hold an open market place every month, to sell our goods and allow others to join, selling and buying whatever they feel fit, making new friends and meeting old ones on a gathering with, again, lots of opportunities to play any kind of roleplay. While I see that compared to other linkshells gathered here, the silver anvil looks pretty small and dull, we will try to do our best and make us presentable before we all can start our adventures in a grand, bright and new world for the all of us!
-
Not literally. *snicker* Its just not very thrilling.

*grabs the popkorn and chews faintly* Kinda bugger, somehow... Hiname cant join the fun as she is still rotting away in her forest and someone thought it would be a good idea to limit the forum rp to one place. *mumbles and chews her popkorn*

That depends on the kind of villainy again. If the villain is, by all means, a common mass-murderer.. Its either using NPCs or fictional characters in storytelling.. or the murdering of another character after a long and thorough ooc-conversation with the other side. As long its not "Hey dude, mind if I kill you ic for my char-development?" some things should be able to figgured out. I strongly recommand not basing your villany on game mechanics, that will SO turn out badly.

*Ctrl+F5s* Yes, its gone.

Now, my oppinion of the whole thing.. You can be a villain by self-declaration or because the world itself labels you as such. Somewhere between light and darkness are the regions that color a good from a bad villain. There are the kind of villains that rob banks and ships, the kind that wants to take over the world, the ones that simply dislike being a "Good person", and the kind that is the mostd angerous of them all. The kind of villain that works for himself and wears the mask of a hero. For those fans out there of fantasy-anime, let me pick up three kind of villains. (Mostly because I just watched it yesterday. *snicker*) The destructive villain The one most easily spottet, as they dont make a big secret out of the fact they are up to no good. Planning to wear a black armor with lots and spikes and skulls might fit the job, but in a MMO like this, you will most likely end up gathering a lot of /rolleyes. The dark hero villain A more dangerous yets till kinda easy to mke out kind of bad guy. Ingame, they would be the kind that travels with your group, accepts quests and is fighting stuff. The villainy picks up when watching how he does his things. Mercyless and with little care, slaughtering innocents and villains alike to get the quest done, without any kind of remorse. The "true" villain Untouchable. Mighty. Subtle. Unforgiving. The kind of villain that never or rarely acts in the open, gets his things done and makes others due the dirty work while mostly themselfes being an honorable person of its enviroment. When lastly put into the spotlight, still finding a way to sneak away unharmed and picking up their work from some other place and the whole thing starts over. To play a good villain is to make sure you avoid the big cliché of what a villain is "supposed" to do.. a villain is what the world turns you too, not what you do to get what you want.
