I got to go out with my mom for lunch at this nice little restaurant, ran errands, and was generally pain free most of the day. RNG was exceptionally good and, a few refined mats aside, I HQ'd all of the stuff I wanted to HQ, even when there was a hiccup in one of my synths at it was at 20% quality. >x>;; So all around, a pretty good day.

There is something about how your art flows that I really, -really- love. ♥♥♥ It rather reminds me of a lot of how animators sketch out their work. You can just feel the movement, you know?

Your style is really cute. * v *) Really digging that thug Madoka one, too. Your attention to detail, most especially on that demon's robe of casting, is excellent.

Everyone's offered very sound advice. If you want to avoid crafting to earn steady gil and don't mind putting in some time, gathering materials for the crafters to use is a good shot. Things that are used a lot (such as alumen, silver ore, or if you'd like to farm stuff with a combat class, skins/fleece) are a sure bet. Spiritbonding is also a good alternative, however there is a lot of RNG involved (the best money makers are grade IV's, and getting them is not guaranteed). Whatever you do, just know that you will have to put some time and effort into it. Dedicated a set amount of time a day to whatever you want to do to earn money will eventually pay off. I would really, -really- recommend that you invest in at least one crafting glass, if only to do the Ixal dailies.

Lalafells are actually really fun to draw (super easy compared to some other races, though that may be a personal preference thing). If I weren't such a lazy bum, I'd contribute more lala art. I'll keep it in mind the next time I doodle, though. *is one of those who shamelessly keeps drawing miqo'te* >v> As a general note, it would be nice to see more stuff of other races, particularly Highlanders/Roegadyn.

Hey there, and welcome to FFXIV! It's always good to see more new folks comin' in. As far as your questions go, uh... 1.) I don't think any kind of census was ever taken on this (and I can only speak for Balmung), but I can say with certainty that everywhere you go, there WILL be RPers and nonRPers mingling together. There are certain areas where you see more RPers (such as bars/taverns in the game), but there seems to be a relatively even split? I generally assume there's usually more nonRPers afoot. I think both servers are fairly open to new folks, the hardest part would be getting a new character on the server during openings. Balmung's openings tend to be really late at night (like anywhere between 11PM PST-5AM PST, depending on the day of the week). FYI, there will always be elitist players on a server regardless of which one you choose, but in my experience, Balmung has the friendliest and helpful of the lot. 2.) Lalas are making a comeback, but other than that, miqo'te and hyur are the most prominently played races in the game (particularly for Balmung). Gender distribution between those two races is kind of even, from what I've seen? That aside, you should pick what -you- want to play. If you've got a great idea for a character and it's going to be miqo'te, then shoot for it. If you want a Roe, then go for the gold! o/ 3.) Have fun, get ready for whacky adventures, and don't be afraid to approach folks. The Final Fantasy series generally has lore focused on crystals and magic with a focus on character development, so expect to see some of that here. There's a ton of lore and information regarding the game on the site, as well as many folks who can help you ease into RP in the game. The world is your oyster! o/ I hope you enjoy your time in the game! It's a good way to unwind from exams. =w=)b Edit: Oh, someone already beat me to it. But yes, basically what Faye said.

Oh hey I'm not dead yet, have some some doodles. These were done sporadically, usually on a long patch night. A word of warning, these probably showcase my questionable sense of humor (and morality). I dunno. These are mostly FC mates, or their alts. Or something.
