Midaja

Since nothing was happening for quite a while, Midaja crossed her arms on the bar and rested her head atop. With a mixture of boredom and tiredness she watched the barkeeper handing her the fruit juice she just ordered and took a sip, letting out a sigh just as the door opened again. The following battle made her raise her head and blink in confusion but that was already it. She didnt really care about something different than the delicious nectar in the cup between her hands, so she took another sip and licked her lips, the fluffy tail swinging back and forth in glee. Few moments later the creaking door made her ears twitch but since she was busy holding her now empty cup upside down and staring right into it to make sure there was nothing left in it, she didnt react to the newcomer until he already took his seat in the corner. Having nothing more to drink, boredom settled in once more and she startet watching the Hyur dealing with his paperwork.

Since the white-haired Miqo'te seemed to be focussed on her work so much, Midaja turned around again, just in time to dodge the Lalafell dashing out of the tavern with a low whimper. This really was an odd place but that only made it more interesting. She slowly made her way to the bar, carefully avoiding any contact with the contests participants and its audience. For a few seconds she stopped to watch the snoring entity on the bar stool and her catlike eyes noticed a little puddle of saliva forming under the Lalafell being. Shrugging she sat down at the bar, leaving some safe distance between herself and the drunk sleeper, folded her hands on her knees and observed the spectacle.

Hmm, Id like Midaja to wear her hat just like discribed in the RP-thread, but Im kinda sure the ingame hats wont be pulled down so far... Hopefully Ill be able to arrange it with photoshop, once I get a suitable piece of a hat mmmh... Im awful at drawing tihi

The door slowly went open and a very small Miqo'te slipped through, dressed in a vestment which seemed to be rather too large, going from the fact that her hands couldnt be seen under the sleeves. Her head was covered by a large wizard hat featuring two small holes for her feline ears. At least it seemed to have kept the rain away from her upmarket-looking garment, all the water flooding to the back of the hat, flying through the air everytime she turned her head around. A scrubby bunch of black and red hair popped out under the low down pulled headpiece, only dimly revealing a pair of pink eyes and a small snub nose, while her mouth was hidden behind the robes high collar. She cocked her head to one side, examining the situation. There were a lot of cooks running from cramped fireplaces to an even more packed table full of ingredients (of which some superb looking vegetables immediately caught her eye) and back again. Making a few steps into the restaurant she approached said table not watching her feet and being nearly overrun by a white-haired Miqo'te who was obviously taking part in the hilarious-looking contest, cooking something that smelled really good. Midaja fell onto her tush, followed the other catgirl with her eyes, but quickly getting distracted by the odour emitted by whatever she was cooking there. Getting herself up the floor she turned and slowly walked towards Katt's station to catch a better look of what she had there.

Oke, lets count the European... Renaise, Hiname, Kashemia, Mamina, Laylei and me... Just taking notes of whom Ill have to add to my friendlist first Im a bit torn apart at choosing a linkshell to apply... Cause of the big time difference

Yeeees, I do know Within Temptation and I startet liking them on Mother earth, and theyre getting better and better... I didnt link something, because if I did id likely have to link the whole Heart of Everything album... To admit not until the Dark Passion Play album I was really into Nightwish, its just more my style of music... But the first song I ever heard of Nightwish was Dark Chest of Wonders, and since it was on once... Im so looking forward to ther next album... And to stay on topic... Marcos just god... Hm, might be a bit offtopic, but since the poll seems like to be the most important part here Im shure noone minds . Since most of you played FFXI, may you explain its dungeon / instance system to me? I only know from my brother, that it took SE very long to implement them and that some bosses were reeeeeeeeally long fights... Luckily theyll be in FFXIV from the start, as it seems...

Ok, since I havent found any music-thread in this forum Ill just open one myself . But stooop, it's not a normal music-thread, I just went through my whole playlist and picked the one songs, which touched me the most. Most of them being just sad (lyrics and / or melody) but by reaching the end I had more songs (11 out of 1600) together than I initially thought I would have... I think Ill just post them to you, and if your interested in listening them youre welcome to do and if you think a song doesnt belong in here (because its just my subjective meaning that its heart-touching) you can tell me . Aaaand of course your open to post your own moving music. P.S.: I hope I didnt oversee some rules against youtube-links with copyright content ahem... P.P.S.: Im a bit surprised by myself, normally posting my music isnt the first thing I do in a forum, especially in a foreign language forum full of RPers... Little warning bout the following songs, my favourite music styles are power metal and symphonic metal, means there might be a good amount of e-guitar and drumming... But also some of them are ballads which hardly use harder instruments at all. If you like e-guitar, violin and that fancy irish type of a bagpipe (forgot the name...). Nightwish - While your Lips are still red ( Lyrics included ) And another Nightwish song... Yes, theyre one of my two favourite bands (since "Once") Nightwish - Nemo ( | Lyrics ) The one and only... Thats a song that means a lot to me, but up to now I didnt know there was a video... But I dont like how they cut the end of the song... Nightwish - Ghost Love Score ( Lyrics included ) Yes, yes, I know, its the last NW one. Savage Circus - Dreamland ( ) The other instrumental, out of my favourite album *whistles innocently*... And my other favourite band, but since they play pure Power Metal I only recommend you to listen to other songs of them if you really like guitars, heavy drumming and fantasy lyrics. But if you do, theres no way past them. Mmmh Id still have some others, but I think its enough for now, I dont even know if this thread is appreciated haha... Im gonna go for the more important stuff here now

Hm wow, everyones using nvidia cards... I first got 2338 on low setting, which made me quite sad... i then overclocked my graca from 500 to 700 mhz and now i get 3132 on low and 1683 on high resolution. But Im also fancying a better card, if I can afford it... wow, even gmt-8... That means, whilst for me its actually 1:15 am, for you its 3:15 pm... Makes even more of a difference than I thought initially. Now that really makes me kinda sad somehow. Good idea... But it should be one of you opening it, I've got a lot of work ahead. Reading everything (on the first side at least...) in the assembly room... Reading all the stuff in the archives and directory... Thenn Ill slowly make my way to the town square and then I should finally be ready to post a character description. *spits into hands* And its already midnight bleh

Aaaaaahahahaaa, yeeeeeees, I'm through with all the 15 pageeeeees, finally I can share my oppinion to all this haha... But everythings been sad already as it seems, meh... Think I'll start as a conjurer, character-background based and train archer later on, even though it will be an odd mix according to the attributes needed... But who cares. Coming back to topic: Thats the first thread I'm reading in this under-forum, so maybe there's another one for that specific discussion (if so it would be very polite to put up a proper signpost in front of my eyes), but what about the different time zones we're living in? Being European I think it would be annoying if there's an RP-event set for lets say 5 pm... Since most of the people here will be American I think, for the European bunch that would be err... 11 pm, 12 pm or even later... On one side that would be quite early for some americans who work until 6 pm for example, on the other hand it's already quite late for the ones on the other side of the great pond :?

Cant you just buy an imoport version or something like that? Think I'll decide, whether I'll buy CE or the normal edition after I had a look into the beta... I ran the Benchmark yesterday and after overclocking my graphic card I got from "low performance" to "good performance" at least... But I'm still not quite sure how my actual system is gonna handle the game and if I have to upgrade it for FFXIV I'd really have to look after my money hm...
