I've been eyeing out Roe females for a while, and finally rolled one as an alt! Walking Oak aka Pfareyha is my Hellsguard lady, Gladiator for now, though I might change her to something else since I don't like tanking.

There has been some great advice on this thread, and many of them I consider doing when I calm down from my initial PvE spree. Hopefully I manage to pull out enough courage to engage people in some random RP. Like some other I also have a problem of being terribly shy when approaching other people for RP. Because I usually go with less conventional means to portray my characters in the way I see them(for example using a female toon to portray a short effeminate man), I've gotten ignored quite a few times, and had my characters and myself ridiculed behind my back. This has made me quite wary of other RPers, and actually made me slow down and finally stop RPing all together. I've always wanted to get back to RP, but it's hard to get over the fear of being rejected, even if it's only in a video game.

I might pop by and lurk in a corner as well, as long as nothing else comes up. Hopefully you warn people at Europa in advance about the event starting, so forgetful people like me can stop their leveling and run over there

RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Light. Thanks to my schedule and love for PvE, I prefer casual, lighthearted RP, though some seriousness is okay too, as long as it's not unnecessary drama. Views on RP combat and injuries: I try to avoid RP combat, since I'm not a fan of conflict RP. If I can't avoid it though, I try to keep things fair, my characters aren't invincible after all. Views on IC romance: I like RPing romances, as long as it's kept realistic. No "love at first sight" -situations, but slowly building up from acquaintances to friends, and so on. Basically I enjoy the trip more than the goal, and letting things take their course. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Don't mind this either, things don't always need to lead up to romance. Views on lore: Lore is there more as a guide, rather than the law. I think we can use our creativity as long as it doesn't contradict something that's stated in lore. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Say is for RP, and tells and partychat if needed. Linkshell is OOC for me III. First my game couldn't even reach the lobby server...then NA/EU world list didn't load...then I tried to create a character to the only JP server open for new characters...and that was full as well >:C What I don't get is why the queue only pops if there's 30 or so people waiting. I'd rather queue on place 3000 and do something else while waiting, rather than log in every couple of minutes just in case I won't be hit on a face with giant wall of 1017.

I'm a huge fan of pet classes in MMOs and Carbuncle from other FF games, so naturally when I read "Summon" and "Carbuncle" on the class description, I had to roll one. This was before I learned you can actually have your Chocobo fight for you in later levels mind you, but I ended up liking the class enough on Phase 4 to keep playing anyway. And so I got stuck with it!

I was being impatient and rolled my Miqo'te Seeker based on my earlier RP characters, before I read about the naming conventions. So I decided to make it into his story somehow, something on the lines of him leaving his tribal life behind and starting anew in Limsa Lominsa in search of knowledge, giving himself a new less "tribal" surname and left the first letter in his name. So V'otte Tia became Otte Dreamwalker. I'm not sure if it's good enough reason to have a unconventional name though...
