  1. Nedral removed the lid from the container and scooped out a green paste and began working it into the skin of his arm. "Well, you should be able to walk now aided with a cain or staff," she moved on to his legs, taking more of the paste from the container. "But I would wait a while and rest before attempting it, it's up to you." She applied some of the paste to his shoulder, being gentle over the stitches, then wiped her hands clean on her trousers. When she was done, she capped the container then set it on the table next to the bed. "You can keep that one, I bought two. Now, as far as a concussion goes, you seem to be coherent enough so if you do have one, it's minor and should heal on its own. But, its hard to tell with the lighting in this room and your eyes are a most peculiar color and that doesn't help." She took up the splints she had taken off and reapplied them to his arm and legs then brushed her hair back. "Chalinda said she was worried about some internal bleeding. I'm no doctor, but I can check for internal bruises. Were you thrown into the Aetheryte from the front or back?"
  2. She nodded once again, returning her smile, and handed Shamad the water. She then picked up his wounded arm gently and began un-wrapping the splint. "I apologize in advance if this hurts, but I need to check for broken bones. It won't be for a minute" She probed his tiny arm with her fingers as gently as she could then, when satisfied, set it down then moved to his legs, removing the splints and examining them similarly. When she was finished she sighed and smiled. "Well, nothing life threatening, but you'll be in pain for a while. You have a fracture in your arm, but it will heal quickly with the proper care. Your legs are in better condition, not broken but the bones and surrounding muscle are severely bruised, it will be some time before you're able to walk again unassisted." She examined the wound on his shoulder, probing around it much in the same manner though more carefully. "This was well tended," she said turning to Chalinda, nodding. "Some bruising will be expected just so long as you don't over extend yourself and tear the sutures." Nedral reached behind her and produced from underneath her cloak a messenger bag. She rummaged through the bag and produced a medium sized glass container. "This is an ointment that I picked up from a merchent in Ul'dah. It will help with the pain and swelling." She motioned to his wounds. "May I?"
  3. Nedral looked from the upset and confused Lalafell to the Elezen, Chalinda, then back at the man. "My name is Nedral, a swordswoman of sorts with more than one skill than the blade. I've offered my assistance to Chalinda to see if there was anything I could do about your wounds." She chided slightly at the Lalafells attitude. "Though I can leave you here to writhe if you'd like, waiting for a doctor that I'm sure won't come. It would be hell to travel back to Ul'dah in your condition."
  4. Nedral followed the woman silently as she was led to a room in the back of the tavern. Nedral stepped inside the room after the Elezen and looked down at the small Lalafell on the bed as he reached for a glass of water, rolling back most dissatisfied. "Damn my short arms." he said. Nedral moved to the side of the bed, surveying the state the man was in and of the splints and sutures on his shoulder. She grabbed the glass of water and handed it to his good arm. "Can you tell me your name?" She asked softly, putting on a slight but warm smile.
  5. She nodded and stood. "Take me to him. I'll do what I can." She was slightly perturbed at the thought of not getting water at the moment, but she deemed this far more important.
  6. Nedral once again surveyed the crowd, raising an eye brow before looking back to the Elezen woman. "From the looks of it, I'd say not... Then again that Roegadyn seemed to have been treated rather recently..." She pondered for a moment, as if lost in thought, then returned her attention to the woman. "I'm no doctor myself, but perhaps I can be of some assistance, I've treated minor wounds on myself and some others. How bad is he hurt?"
  7. Nedral looked up from checking the bandage on her hand, it would need a new one soon, and looked to the impatient Elezen. Her dual colored eyes, one piercing green the other a swimmingly blue, studied the woman for a long moment. She looked over her shoulder at the noisy crowd wondering after Luther, then turned again to the woman as she tapped her finger on the bar. Nedral ran a finger through her white hair, brushing her ears flat over her head. "You seem somewhat worried. Is something wrong?" Nedral asked, not really wanting to get involved but was beckoned by another force at work.
  8. Luther strolled down the pathways of the oasis, whistling a merry tune to himself, his hands folded behind his back, surveying the surrounding area as instructed by Nedral. It was fairly quiet outside and, apart from some blood stained sand by a pool of water, all was quiet and well. Though he didn't like the looks of the lot inside the tavern, he was confident that should it come to brawls, Nedral would be find on her own until he returned to her. As he was coming to the end of his patrol, he saw a caravan pull up and several people begin to unload it, a small Lalafell stepping out into the sand, saying something to what Luther appraised as being a servent. This lot seemed harmless enough, though Luther hunkered down next to a wall and watched them curiously, now humming his tune quietly to himself.
  9. Also, more commonly, used in the Star Wars movies for the light sabers. Ever see Ryan vs Dorkman on youtube? Yeah, those guys got jobs at ILM for their rotoscoping techniques in the two videos they made. It's also a very long drawn out process that I've done once or twice before.... Of course ILM has their own proprietary software for rotoscoping, something we (the public) will never see unless we get a job there. Good luck!
  10. Nedral opened the door to the inn, a large Roegadyn at her back with a great sword hung over his back and two smaller swords attached to either side of his belt. Nedral absently fingered the pommel of her sword as she took in her surroundings, the hood of her cloak casting a shadow over her face. Her gaze fell first on the table with the very strange, very large creature drooling over something in its sights, speaking harshly the word "eat?". She raised an eye brow then appeared to be lost in thought for a moment before her attention returned. She turned and looked outside, the sun was failing and it would be dark soon. She whispered something to her companion and he nodded then disappeared. Nedral moved into the inn, eyeing another Roegadyn with fresh bandages on what she assumed was, as yet, a freshly stitched wound. She sat at the bar and pulled down her hood. Her face was marred with myriad tiny cuts, some still scabbed over others small scars, and her nose was bruised black and purple, as was the area around it, as if it were recently broken. Her right hand was bound in gauze, dried blood seeping through. "Water." She said to no one in particular, as she couldn't discern who the bartender was in this ramshackle inn full of odds and ends of people, but loud enough for those in her vicinity to hear.
  11. It's fun, but I would rather go to the AI in L.A.. A friend of mine transferred there and says it's 100x better and more well structured. But oh well. Back to reading now. (I've been reading the Al'Mian Oasis thread for the past hour. x.x nearly done.)
  12. I go to the Art Institute down here in Tampa Fl. Not much to write home about.
  13. I'm gettin' me a Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree in film... of course my school is kind of a joke, but oh well. Don't tell 'em I said that. lol
  14. I must agree with Shamad, only it was water for me!
  15. To give you an idea, go here: http://www.cracked.com/funny-5806-the-l ... z0uW8US7RV make sure to read the stuff below the picture if you're a fan of the show, it points out a lot of the major flaws.
  16. Indeed, and there's talks that he's doing a trilogy out of it. Maybe he'll learn his lesson from this epic failure, maybe not. We'll see.
  17. Dude, the tv show is amazing, the movie sucks big fat monkey balls. It's horrible. There are not enough words in the english language to describe how horrible it is. Although, the effects of the waterbenders was pretty fun.
  18. Yeah, it was an interesting experience the rookie cop was totally awesome though. He was all like: "Fuck it, we don't wanna fill out the paper work, get outta here."
  19. So I was on set for the first, and pretty large, shoot of my senior project. We're out in the middle of nowhere in an abandoned subdivision (no houses, everything is over grown, it's really cool looking) and the hot Florida sun is beating down on us, but we're pushing through. So about five hours into the shoot, after my main actress shows up a fashionable 3 hours late (she got reamed for that one), the cops show up. Oops, didn't get a permit to film. There's two of them, one goes back to our staging area where I've got two actors sitting in the shade, and one stays with us. After about 15 minutes or so, the second cop comes back then, after taking my ID again, he calls me over to the car and asks me if I have anything sharp on me, or anything that will poke him and, I shit you not, asked me if I had any thermal nuclear devices on my person. Ok, so red flag. Then he proceeds to search me and acts as though he's going to arrest me. Then, out of no where, he pats me on the back and says he's kidding. One of my other actors put them up to it. So they let us go and told us we had to pack up shop. So thats my story. Gotta love actors ;/ I gotta kick out of it though. And, speaking of films, check this out: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/wb/suckerpunch
  20. You should be able to use the keyboard on the ps3 as well as on pc, as you can use a controller on the pc. there are games on the ps3 that support the keyboard, such as unreal tournament (only one I know of) you can use both keyboard and mouse. But I will more than likely play it on both PC and ps3, my PC passed the benchmark in flying colors
  21. I was just curious if anyone was on the playstation network and what games they played and if anyone is interested in being friends on there. I mostly play Super Street Fighter 4 (the only other game I have aside form FFXIII) maybe we can play a game. My user name is, go figure, Nedral.
