Hello there folks. So, for awhile now I've had Yul for the better part of a year as a character. I'll get straight to the point that I've written her into a corner and I'm not sure what to do or where to go from here. The skinny is that she ended up betraying the community of her "blood" tribe (being a Dotharl who's changed for redemption) which involved her defeat after a duel, but not character death due to an honorable fighter who merely "killed the old character". (I also did not wish her death, which the duel set as ground rules). She was instead mortally wounded, etc etc. My issue arises that I roleplayed with these people frequently, but now that I've had a hard time even trying to play as Yul, because I've felt I maybe should of never done that. It's been bothering me for awhile, but I don't have an FC to go back to nor too many people to roleplay with outside of that small cluster. Is there anything I could do to forward my character, or at the very least get this writer's block broken?

RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium to heavy. When I am not leveling a class or farming tomes, I'm probably roleplaying. I'm also willing to drop what I'm doing to roleplay as well. Views on RP combat and injuries: I am not afraid of RP battles or the injuries that follow them. Super descriptive injuries are a no go, however. I despise the death of a character or any injuries that are not consented to the player. Please let me know in advance OOC before you swing at her! Views on IC romance: This is fine, but Yul would be a little hard to get for a relationship due to being a recent widow. I do not wish my roleplay to entirely consist of romantic RP, either. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Yul's personal family is gone and she has betrayed her blood tribe (the Dotharl) very recently. Feel free to use it for conflict if your character is inclined, but the knowledge of her betrayal would be hard to hear out in the city streets. She is a bit of a loner, so having more friends is always a plus! Views on lore: Lore is practically a requirement, though if (and that's a big if) it makes sense to bend it just a little bit and it makes sense in context, I am fine with it as well. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Say,emote and yell are the IC channels I use. Depending on the activity I'm doing, I will either be IC/OOC. I currently only have OOC linkshells, but i am open to having one IC> [*][*][*][*][*][*] III. She adjusted a little to Eorzean society, found a mate and got bonded, though tragically, she lost her mate after a run into with the minions of Leviathan. She also left her previous FC, due to being treated unfairly during a brief imprisonment and other aggressive factors thereafter. Those were all very recent, but I am afraid of letting more being brought out other then that. Else I feel I dont have enough left to give people a surprise for when they would actually interact with her. I'm never a fan of letting everything out all at once

Honestly, I have no preference, as long as I'm not sitting in a tavern/house/FC hall all day.

So, I've discussed this with a few friends of mine about my current character (Yul) finding a dead end in my roleplay after having a few events pop up during her storyline. I've begun to try and reach out for others, be it in game or here, and im having zero success with it after a few days. My question is, is it because I roleplay a Dotharl apart of it? I like how she's developed into something more then just a savage and even married and settled briefly in Eorzea. I'm just not sure were to take her now.

I do not have a wiki, i dont know how to use it, seeing as I've never had to design a webpage or a wiki entry before. She was formerly an Othard native, before and after the Garleans came into to take over. She's obviously trained to kill, but provides bodyguard services if requested, though is trained in most forms of martial combat, with very little in the department of aether/magical practices. I dont tend to keep her in one, localized area, either, since she tends to wander, not having a true place to call "home" during her time in Eorzea.

I'm so far behind with 2 weeks to go. I'm 3 under the ilvl needed to face off on a patch mob, not to mention i know exactly zero dungeons for high end play. Feels literally impossible for someone in my shoes, since I dont really know anyone.

So, yea..as the title says, I'm ready to hunker down and do some RP literally at anytime that I'm online (EST, if anyone needs a timezone reference!). I'm usually on Auburn Lynx, my Hellguard or Yseria Abreau, my Duskwight. I'd also want to know if its at all commonplace to see RPers in tavern just outright ignore an emote I'd cast their way, mostly to get myself acknowledged to their characters? I seemed to of encountered that twice in Lima >.> and its worse when one of the said instances ignored a ooc tell about it :l

Add Auburn Lynx (thats me!). I've been absorbed into the pve content so far, which is what is normal for me when I'm starting out in MMO's, but I'd definately stop for some RP
