Has your character changed from beta/release? As my character is still technically only a few days old, no. But in a way, yes. I'd had a plan since long before beta and release, a particular character that was to be a slight shifting of an existing character that I have played in the past. But through further research (and, curiously enough, some of the customization options at character creation), she's not 100% the character I had initially planned for. Have your expectations out of the RP community changed? Yes, but not in a bad way! I didn't expect there to be such a sizable community, nor did I expect it to be quite as diverse as I've found it to be so far. I honestly expected to have to search for RP and coordinate to get together at specific times, but I've seen plenty in passing as I've oriented myself to the game and started along on my quests.

I may be new, but I think it shows that you've done a great job here. I understand all too well where you are coming from with this decision (co-ran a site similar to this for three and a half years, among other things). I'm glad to see that the decision is one you made, not one because of a falling out or growing tired of the game or community, and I wish you all the best!!

Aww, Happy Birthday to you too!! I still have some of my cake as well, so we can swap. It was supposed to be a Superman bust cake, but my friend didn't have enough stuff to make flesh colored icing and used white icing, so it is instead a Bizarro cake. Still tastes great, though!! Oh! Thanks for that info, I wasn't aware of the Fantasia item. I'll still want to make sure I'm happy with my look, but at least now I won't be so worried about being stuck with something I may grow unhappy with.

Hello! I'm never sure what to say in one of these posts. I guess I'll ramble on a bit and you can decide if you want to read it or not, okay? Just got FFXIV for my birthday (yesterday, October 9th), but I have been loosely following the info about the game for months. I did a little searching to find out about which servers are RP servers or which had any RP communities and came across this place. I'm a long time RPer, although I haven't been quite as active in the last couple of years as I'd have liked due to various factors. I still haven't decided on a server or made a character yet, but mostly because I keep toying with character creation options and want to make sure everything is perfect to fit the character I have in mind. Hope to meet some of you around soon!!
