That isn't how Transmog works. You don't lose the gear - period. You simply tell the Ethereal to replace the current model of the gear you're wearing with the model of another piece of gear you own. The gear is not destroyed in the process. I second what Liadan said above, the way that Transmog works in WoW is simply that you're using the appearance of a piece of gear on another piece of gear and it doesn't destroy the original one in the process. The only limitations were of course that the gear had to be green or higher and that it had to be the same kind such as plate could only transmog with plate, etc. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing the same system on FFXIV, I liked WoW's system of transmog and the fees that you paid to perform the action weren't to bad. Not to mention you could reverse it if you changed your mind.

That gun is absolutely gorgeous and of course, Troll Ladies for the win! My favorite race to play on WoW. ^^ I also like your portrait of C'rhisi, very innocent expression but provocative pose at the same time.

This is really amazing, thank you for putting in the time to gather all of that information, that was really great of you! I personally would love to see the fruits of your labors and learn whatever I can from the lore you gathered, I'm sure it's all going to be useful in some ways and put to rest at least some of the debates, or at least give us some insight!

Hi there and welcome to the RPC as well as Balmung, I'm one of the resident altoholics that is addicted to RP so anytime you see me in game feel free to toss me a line! I'm on quite a bit, just not always on the same character, ha ha. Again welcome and I hope you enjoy your stay!

Starting out as a shy Rper I had this very same problem but after posting a thread like this I actually ended up finding out the community is really open to people! Worrying about people being mad that you're walking up to them isn't something you should have to fear, everyone I've walked up to so far has been more than happy to RP with me, though I know hearing that doesn't always ease the fears enough to actually walk up to someone. I'm not running any storylines myself but I've been integrated into a few quite easily, the groups I'm familiar with are more than happy to bring people in to the plots they're doing. I myself am always happy to RP with you of course! Any time you see me around on any of my alts you can of course give me a poke and walk right up to ask about your brothers, your best bet for that info of course would be my character L'Tao Loha, she won't know the answer obviously but she IS an info broker and who knows you might be able to beseech her to do some research for you! I actually adore being a plot device. >.> To that end I also have Siha Xinkei who happens to be bestowed with some odd powers, she can see past and present mostly, with very rare glimpses of the future now and then, of course I never see anything without permission and only what I'm told but it's a good plot device I find. ^^ I have plenty of others as well including another Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te from an old family of prestigious CNJ's who isn't doing much plot wise, a Seeker Miqo'te of the A tribe who's a blade for hire and notoriously grumpy and sarcastic. Erm, I also have my Lancer Wildwood who is expected to become a Wailer but wants more than that, his family is just determined to steer him in that direction while he'd much rather become a Dragoon and is mistakenly convinced that he can do that if he so pleases. Etc. If you have needs for plots or certain roles you can always hit me up, it's possible among my alts I'll have ones that I can fit in with you! On a seperate note to everyone else, this also goes or you, keep your chin up! There is RP out there and getting over your shyness is well worth it in the end even if it is an uphill battle!

I ran into the same problem when I first made a character, the servers usually get full in the evenings and for whatever reason Square tends to put a stop to making new characters. But all is not lost! Typically on weekday mornings they open character creation back up, at least from my experience, so if you can keep an eye on it until the morning hours you should be able to make your character without a problem!

I have yet to make any Keeper friends in game, this is an atrocity to me! So in other words if you ever want to RP feel very free to add me on any of my alts with my mains being Siha or Nalani at this time so we can rp! ^^

I think you'd be right after reading his profile, and considering their differing views on Conjury I can see it being a little tense between them now. Nalani isn't a bleeding heart for nature but she doesn't believe in not stopping a death that can be prevented and she has her own reasoning and argument for that! I'm sure their meeting will be interesting. I should be on at some time today and will try to add you if I can. ^^

Nalani is 22 right now so they would have known each other most likely especially since his family was also involved with the Conjurers guild as Nalani's was extensively. Nalani was from probably one of the more old fashioned families but they wouldn't have been unfriendly just proper-ish and she would have been 17 at the time of the Calamity. How much they would have known each other is something we can discuss! I'm always open for them having had ties as friends, or even just having been somewhat friendly because their families were peers in a sense. As well as other options of course too, he could have despised her and I wouldn't mind!

Yep, I am the ever elusive newbie there. ^^ And I'd actually love that! So I'll just incorporate into her background that some of her family was lost but for the most part they fared very well compared to the others. Maybe she could be looking for some of the lost pieces while she's on her trial out in the world. If there's any details you'd like me to add specifically of course I'd love to hear them and also would Nalani know your Keeper you think? How old is he at the moment?

I have an alt, Nalani Zendai, who is actually currently in your FC (though I've been having trouble with meetings since they're before I get off work so we haven't met D:) who might be able to fit in that background if you wanted. She's a Keeper of course and right now all I have mapped out for her background is that her particular family she comes from is a family who's known for their Conjurer prodigy's whom they train as soon as they're able to hold a wand. I also have down that she's on a trial required by her clan where the clan members leave home for a year at least to see as much as they can before returning home and deciding if they want to stay in the 'clan' which by clan I mean the collection of families that I haven't put further definition to yet. I haven't mentioned anything about the Calamity with her at the moment so there's no worries about that being something that's going to clash with your story but I have been saying her particular family is intact so I'm not sure if that would be something you could work with. ^^

Personally I find nothing wrong with this Arc they are wanting to do, slavery IS wrong but you have to remember it's RP here. Just because they're RPing it doesn't meant that they personally like it outside of that, it's very clearly an arc and the reason I believe it was posted was to ask if anyone else would like to get involved. I doubt they were going to play out scenes that others were uncomfortable with in a public setting so I suppose I don't understand why it is necessary to drop a bomb on their advertisement for this. Like so many have said before, if you don't like it, then don't read it. It's just as simple as that I think. And I'm not meaning to sound rude to anyone that IS offended by such a concept but they're not making anyone join this, they are simply looking for those would WOULD want to willingly be involved in something like this for the sake of a villain arc and drama for all involved should be rightfully kept IC.

Welcome to the RPC, Hrav! It's always wonderful to see a new face, I might not have the most definitive answer for you but I can give my personal opinion here. The community on Balmung is really active, and despite it being a legacy server, everyone there seems pretty friendly to new players! I really had no problem getting involved there and running into random rp even, of course the RPC makes that even easier since everyone here is just great. I was only on Gilgamesh for a short time so I can't really say what their community is like and if it is active so I apologize but we have some members on there and I'm sure they'd be happy to give their opinions on that server. ^^ As a side note, if you do join Balmung, always feel free to poke me in game with RP or questions!

Feel free to add me on any of my alts, Siha is a Limsa girl herself so I'm sure the two would get along. Nalani is just generally gentle with anyone she meets and although somewhat shy can be quite friendly after the initial hello. As for my other two girls they're acquired tastes since one is notably a grump (A'ahdra), while the other is just kind of morally unsound and prone to getting people in trouble for fun (L'Tao).
