  1. Look forward to seeing you(r character) around!
  2. I've made a post about this on our website. I look forward to seeing where this goes!
  3. Aww! I'm sorry you can't make it Fram! Have a wonderful weekend though!
  4. You notice a weather worn leaflet plastered outside of a local inn. Looking closer you see a date and location scribbled at the top, accompanied by the following missive: "Come one, come all for an evening to leave it all behind you, even if for a few hours. The drinks are free, courtesy of yours truly. The catch? Only your company for a night to be held in fond remembrance! ~ The Echo Knights" ((Note, despite the location and reference to free drinks, this is a social event, not a get-passed-out-on-the-floor event. Although if that's where your RP leads, then so be it. Just don't look at me with those big mean suspicious eyes if you wake up with your head shaved and no eyebrows. ))
  5. Hey guys! I would say that I would have to contest the above observation. I wouldn't say that RP on Gilgamesh is clique=y and hidden, it's just disconnected and not broadcast IC'ly, as well as OOC to a point. I myself have known about open rp going on over at the Goblet, but haven't had a RP reason to go check it out as I've only heard OOC. And trust me, I'm dying to. A friend is going to give me a RP reason to know about it and then I'll join in. But it doesn't seem too much different than what I've heard about breaking into RP in Balmung, in that you need to have a RP reason to be involved in quite a few RP storylines. The main difference being that we don't have as much open Tavern RP, so it's harder to get IC knowledge of them. All in all, it seems to me like RP isn't dead on Gilgamesh by any means, just disjointed, and fractured in some ways. I say, let us try to get involved in each other's events as much as in IC'ly sensible, and create a more complete atmosphere. And that includes more open world RP for those that enjoy it. Personally, I always RP in the open world. I almost never RP in a linkshell outside of when I am listening and responding to a LS IC anyway. That's just me, it breaks the immersion for me to RP in a LS any other way. So in short, in my little opinion, to the people who come to Gilgamesh looking for Roleplay, it's here! Just give us a heads-up in the Gilgamesh section, and check out the Linkshell Hall for FC's to talk with, not even necessarily join. A lot of us have websites, and you can always ask questions there, or here on RPC on where/how to get involved with RP on the Wild Wide World of Gilgamesh.
  6. They advertised this event and their Free Company in the Gilgamesh Events forums as a roleplaying company and event, as well as very aggressively on the server; and out of a Free Company of more than 150 members, very few (around 4 or 5) showed up to their own event. After their leader gave a long speech about their newly elected leadership, that was the end of it. When I tried to interact with the leadership I saw present, the president (Falcons Talons) quickly moved to /tell chat leading to him asking about us merging with them. I didn't see much of any roleplay from the few members they had there. And as you can see, their president said that some of their members roleplay, but I didn't see any active roleplay going on from their members there. They are a very zealously recruiting company on our server, so I wanted to give the Gilgamesh roleplay community a heads-up about what seems to be their actual FC makeup.
  7. Thanks for moving this to the appropriate board! I apologize for the misplacement.
  8. Bravo! I am glad to see someone forming an antagonist FC on Gilgamesh! I'll definitely keep you in mind and spread the word when I hear of anyone seeking a villainous troop of adventurers.
  9. I have posted it in my Guild's RP event section. Sounds fun!
  10. Heyo, Kyrrae L'minia, senior officer with the Echo Knights here! If one were to stop by our HQ in the Mists (Ward 1, Plot 11) you might just find someone gathered round the campfire, shielding themselves from the sun under our parasol, in a tree, or dancing on the roof! Peek in the house and you'd find the front desk with an open staircase leading down to our living quarters and council-room. But if empty, fear not, we are mercenaries after all, and must be off ushering some foe into an (over)timely grave! Our house is always open for roleplaying, just as long as we are there.
  11. This sounds fun! I'll be posting this event into my FC's website so we know about it! I love to see open RP promoted!
  12. Glad to see this thread getting lots of love now! I'll find your post Black Hat and post our house. We're always open for rp. Our FC has mixed interests, but if you come up to one of and initialize rp, chances are we'll respond.
  13. Hey Black Hat, Kyrrae L'minia here, senior officer with the Echo Knights! I really like the sound of this, especially considering that the Echo Knights are a mercenary free company! What are your ideas for tracking of jobs done "successfully" or "well done" ?
  14. This sounds great! ! I'll make sure to share this with my free company!
