Limitless Sky Swimsuit Competition! (On Hold)
Vee replied to Gideon Aryeh's topic in Chronicled Events
Luluni will, I suppose, have to represent for the few female Lalafell there are (and I hope to see more by the time the event rolls around)! -
This is really cool! I will keep an ear/eye peeled for this event, if I'm not busy I'll be there!

List of Rock Sandbourne's TBA Gilgamesh Events
Vee replied to Gideon Aryeh's topic in Chronicled Events
Feel free to add me in game Crimmera, name is Luluni Luni. Az'to and I were hoping to start up a fishing tourney at one of the previous beach events but we decided it would be best suited to being it's own event. I am more than happy to hand over the reigns and let you spearhead this, as Lulu would have little reason to be interested in fishing other than maybe handing out prizes or helping Az'to take bets from the viewers. We'd love to help you so feel free to message me in-game anytime. -
Luluni will make an appearance of course, she loves wine tastings and Masquerade parties!

Hey folks! Yes currently this is a work in progress. We're trying to guage interest in something like this, but at the same time looking for people to be reliable participant models. You're receiving the clothes free of charge so I would hope anyone asking to be involved would try their best to treat it like a business exchange as it would be in the real world. I'd love to have you guys be a part of this event (Luka, Swift, and Rinh)! It would be a lot of fun, and yes Swift we're short on male models, so please say you'll participate! People have to understand however we'll need a range of people - all different levels from 10-50. The only reason being that I may refuse your audition is for the simple fact the clothes vary in levels so I need to assign the clothes accordingly once we get an idea of who/what level people we have basically. Hopefully this clears up a couple things, and PLEASE PLEASE add me at Luluni Luni on ARR so I can see what level you are and keep you informed of what's happening. *Notice - This IS an RP event and will be treated as an RP event throughout Auditions and the event itself.

If you can't get ahold of Rock in game feel free to message me for an invite to the OOC LS as well. My in-game name is Luluni Luni.

There are lots of great Linkshells out there. Be sure to check out the Linkshell directory on the forums, and give them a looksee in the Gilgamesh section, right here, Madame: http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=15&filtertf_srvr=Gilgamesh There are all sorts of things budding on Gilgamesh and I'm sure any number of them would be happy to show you someplace to rest your travel weary feet for a good while! :tonberry:

I know you're trying to be nice here but lots of people that have had a chance to play on Gilgamesh, have said that when they were able to play they had very little problems with running into trolls and most of us have actually "run into" other roleplayers quite frequently. I just want to clear that up because if this thread shouldn't be about making a new community but an alternative place to play while the servers are capped. Unless the RPC wants to upheave 100+ members in the Gilgamesh OOC Linkshell, I'm not sure they'll feel very good about having a third server added to their roster. With the OOC Linkshell for Gilgamesh (Balmung has one as well) it sort of casts aside the fear of not finding people to roleplay with, not being able to find groups or people to show you what's what in my mind at least. There will be plenty of people there and ready to help anyone if they just ask. Though you are right, if you go to a lower population server you may see less congestion but I wouldn't be able to say if it would be 'easier' to find people to RP with or not. Like I said before, GW2's larger server Jade Quarry locked out people for several days at Launch not even early release, so give it a few days, or wait until release to be so proactive about something like this. If it's still an issue then maybe bring it up.
-
I don't think the issue here is the players faults or the server of choice. It's Square Enix who underestimated the amount of people that were going to play or just that they weren't prepared for it or the errors occurring. They've had unscheduled maintenance and there have been tons of people not able to play across ALL the servers. So why would we vote for a new server when most of the other servers are getting hit with the same issues? When I played GW2 I played on Jade Quarry, one of the highest if not THE highest population server and let me tell you it was worth waiting to get in. I never had a shortage of people to do stuff with, there was even a budding RP community there I didn't even know about until I was max level. I'm not saying don't play the game, if you're willing to suffer through bugs and possibly getting disconnected, or not being able to find as much RP locally then by all means play and try another server. I will however stick by the RPC in that I will not be casting a vote for another server - and I'm a 1.0 non-legacy player who doesn't even get to play this weekend and I pre-ordered the game for double the price the first time it released. If you're not able to play on Gilgamesh right away, play somewhere else in the meantime. I'm pretty sure Balmung is welcoming people with open arms and yet you guys are sort of turning them down. As people have said character transfers will be made available so if you were sticking to Gilgamesh you could always transfer off of there eventually. Or if you were going to Behemoth and/or Leviathan, it still stands you'll be able to join us not far after launch.
-
I would say keep the faith you'll get on one of them eventually. Over Open Beta and now Early Access I hear there are a lot of maintenance issues, different errors people are getting while trying to log in. Some people I know have been able to play for hours, others were able to play for a bit - got kicked and couldn't log back in and others just haven't been able to connect or make characters. So keep the hope alive it'll happen, this is just something SE needs to work out and fix. I have faith you'll be able to create your character sooner rather than later (hopefully).

I'll be IC most of the time, and I know plenty of other RPers who probably will be too. If you see people RPing hop in! I love it when people notice others RPing and join in on the fun. A good place to find RP at launch is all over the starter cities. In Limsa Lominsa there's the Bismarck where I know a lot of people like to go. It's kind of a bistro. Then there's Apkallu Falls in Gridania where the fireflies come out at night. Where else? Hmm.. In Ul'dah there are so many places because it's just a big city. So anyways I hope you find some people. Speaking of which depending on which server you play on or if you play on both I'm pretty sure there are OOC/IC RP linkshells that are meant for the RP community members. Feel free to message me (Luluni Luni) for the Gilgamesh OOC Linkpearl, a person from Balmung I think might be handing out pearls there for their OOC linkshell I believe is Xenedra? There are probably a bunch. Anyways! Good luck and see you in Eorzea! :tonberry:

Oh hi. Yeah thanks Yeldir. I am a 1.0 non-legacy player so I don't get early access, but I do get the game free. I've been trying to tell them I'd rather have someone have the code who is interested in playing/will play if they don't have the game all ready but at the same time like Yeldir said I obviously want to play with everyone during early access. Either way I'm not going to be disappointed.. also is it possible for a person to apply the code to an existing account? I've always been fuzzy on that subject. I wouldn't want to have to re-make/re-level Lulu all over again. What you're doing is really cool though I love when people pay it forward.
-
Personally I didn't run into one griefer and I was one of the fortunate ones who got to play the majority of the weekend. Remember, this was an Open Beta. Meaning anyone who signed up or was given a code by a friend got in so that doesn't reflect the actual people who will be actually paying for the game. For a week or more now there have been posts about the Gilgamesh OOC Coalition Linkshell, with details pertaining to how you can get in touch with other members to be handed a linkpearl to get in contact with other roleplayers. Next time you log in if you're not all ready in the OOC linkshell, I can invite you or you can add me so I can invite you under the name Luluni Luni.

Not to really derail your topic, I just wanted to say that Gilgamesh isn't really established at all. We have a few events planned, but there hasn't been any talk of chronicles or serious alliances and bonds made yet. We just had our first impromptu get together in OB that consisted of about 10 people or so (the low number is also due to the errors that occurred). All in all, we need all the help we can get honestly. There's only a handful of us really trying to push out community-wide events for everyone but there's only a few so far. At first we were pretty unorganized so I got the idea to make an event planning committee to at least get the gears going in people to really try to start thinking about how we want to shape our time in Eorzea. I'm sorry you won't be joining Balmung or Gilgamesh, but I do hope you find people to play with on Behemoth if you decide to stay there. Good luck. ^^
