I voted yes. Short and to the point, which would be a good read for potential new roleplayers in my opinion.

I agree, it's not usually just one or the other, many RPers fall somewhere in the middle of the two.

On defining what roleplaying is, I was thinking it could start out as a broad definition, like what Kes posted above. Then it could get into what it is to roleplay in an mmorpg, to narrow the definition down a bit. I think this would be good for people new to the idea of RP who would read it.

I'll start, I did this about two months ago while I was bored, waiting for more info to come out. :cat:

It was great to log on and see this, 100 members already! It is hard to imagine that many RP'ers on one server but sounds awesome, coming from the small population on Siren. Definitely, go us!

I just finally got around to pre-ordering FFXIII today, so I think I'll wait awhile for this.

I predict that they will bring back the subligars to show off my manly Elezen legs.

I agree as well, it would be better than having a LS for every organization that you are involved with in my opinion.

I like the idea. One way I'd like to see this implemented is if in FFXIV, there are establishments similar to places like The Lion Springs Tavern of FFXI, I think it would be nice to have an organization where players can get together and hang out in such places to do things like meeting and getting to know one another better. For example, this picture explains what I mean: I think these places would be great hubs for people to tell their stories to others and such. I plan for my character to be a bit of a drinker, so he'll be sitting in the taverns quite often, chatting it up. It seems to me that there are going to be such places in FFXIV from some of the pictures I have seen, maybe not, we still have to wait and see but it makes me excited to think about.
