You have really been a big help, while I was at work I was thinking about this and those links helped with some questions I was having.

So in all it has been about a year since I last played, and now that I have time. I decided that it would be awesome to make my return. During the time that I have since the game and patches are downloading, I had begun to toss around the idea of the thought that I would come to remake my character, as I did some research I believed that maybe the idea of being an Au'Ra could work out. As I dived deeper into the lore my eyes rested on a certain tribe, The Qestir tribe. Due to the fact that they forsake the use of words since they hold the belief that all words are lies.I entertained the idea of maybe using this idea for my character. Normally since I role play a character that likes to trash talk others, this route seems to be a challenge for they will not be speaking. I wanted to throw the idea around of either using some form of hand signals or for her to carry around something that could be written on. If you all were considering this type of silent character, how would help your character to come to communicate with others?

I currently in the process of coming back to the game. I am debating on using a new character or playing on one of my old ones. For your discord server do you all take in returning players? I used to role play a lot when I was Balmung but it has almost been a year since I last role played. I would be a little rusty when it came to dishing out the lines. Would it be okay if I joined?

I took the free transfer so I could actually play the game for I work close to 60 hours a week so my time for playing is really limited. I wanted to ask if there were any role playing free companys or linkshells taking in members. I am normally on the game early morning or late nights depending on the day of the week. Thanks a bunch!

If one character is merely looking to cause chaos and has not asked the other person then I think it should not happen. Views on IC romance: I think that if two characters are in love or become close to where they would want to pursue a relationship then it should happen. I have no restrictions on relationships. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc):I think that role play is role play. If someone wants to role play another's brother or sister. I think it could happen. I think all role play is fun. Views on lore:Characters should be lore friendly but I am not so strict on lore that I will not role play with other people. As long as I dont see people role playing super sayians or anime characters, I fine with it. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc):I dont see how this really pertains to this but my opinion is all are needed for role playing. /say is used as the primary way to role play with linkshells being that of a form to communicate over long distances. Hello everyone! I am Kazunori and I am honored to have joined this wonderful webpage. My friend gave me some tips about how I can get used to the game again and since she knew that I enjoyed role playing, she advice me to check out this page. Before I get into describing a little about myself. I just wanted to say that I am looking forward to role playing and getting to know you all. I am semi new to Final Fantasy 14 but I am not new to the Final fantasy series. I am eager to come back to this wonderful game and looking forward to making new friends and creating a story for my character. I have role played in a couple games which were WoW and Rift, along with role playing in the chatrooms that AOL had once upon a time. I know I will be semi new to this game and I know I will have a lot to remember (for I was a tank and I wish to get back into it.) But I am looking forward to meeting the wonderful people here and in the world of Eorzea. (I have come up with a brief personality post about my character , hope you enjoy!) Kazunori being the man that he is, is one who never backs down from any job and really has the desire to make sure everything he does is somewhat perfect. He has been know to fight though he claims that most were not his fault. Since he could not become the hero (the one every little kid dreams about when they are young), he turned his attention to that of becoming a mercenary, as the job can sometimes operate out of the darkness. His attitude is one that reflects his sense of not caring. He can be outspoken and likes to voice his opinion as anyone else would but normally you will find him drinking at any bar while writing quietly within his leather bound journal.

I will post my characters bio in a later post. I am new to Hydaelyn Roleplayers (had a friend refer me here) and I recently just transferred my character from Cactuar to Balmung. I had joined a free company (will not say name) but they have not been the most welcoming. I am still working on my character but I would like to see if there are any role playing free companies taking in members. I am just searching for a friendly free company and one that is actually welcoming to new members. (I am sorry if this is not the place to put this thread but I could not find anywhere else)

Hello fellow role players, I thought I would leave a small thread in hopes that a returning player and returning role player could reconnect with all that play. My topical thread is introducing myself and explaining who I am but I thought I would change it around and list the background for my character. I hope it is not that much but I would like to chat with those that have open spots in their free companies for a character like mine. If you would like you can message me here or in game. Name: S'ahra Buhl Age: 19 Bloodline: Seeker(exiled) Eyes: Light Creamcolor Hair: Has blackhair with aqua highlights Marital: Single Occupation:Practices the way of the fist (is what she calls it) Other/personalityIs learning how to use the lance and coming to gain some knowledge of how to use a sword and shield. She is a bit sassy and very outgoing as this is only a front to hide the pain she feels within her heart but when she is alone is when normally she allows what she calls weakness to escape. She will do her best to help everyone around her in hopes to gain their affection and their approval. Physical Features Despite her obviousappearances, she has no notable scars, but taking off her shirt and seeing her back you can see the scars of whip lashes upon her back. And a couple scars running up her arms from the hunts that she had went on. Family / Friends Father: Unknown(cant think of names yet) Mother: Unknown Notable brother:S’vett Tia (unknown) Her Story S’ahra at first wasnot someone you would have expected to make it within the world. She was born prematurely and thought to pass away only a couple days after her birth. Despite what was said, S’ahra managed to hold on and grew into a lovely woman, who came to gain great respect among her brothers and sisters. She grew up learning how to hunt with a bow but preferring to strike enemies up close she chose to learn the way of the fist and begun training to increase her physical endurance and mental capacity. At rough the age of about 13 she managed to sneak away from the camp and found herself lost with nothing but the small training dagger she had on her belt to defend herself. As she wonder around trying to find her way back she came across a woman who came to aid when a group of bandits had surround S'ahra. With ease she watched this woman take the men out and afterwards with the simple kindness this woman had shown to her by giving her water and some food was enough that it won S'ahra's affection and gave her the desire and dream to become as tough as her and show much kindness to those around her. With this woman's help S'ahra had found her way back to the tribe only to find her father (current Nuhn) with the able Miqo’te went off to fight in the war against the Garleans. During that time, she trained hard and learned much but after the Calamity on her 17th birthday her brother S’vett left the tribe and went to find his own path. Being very close to him, her heart was torn as she debated chasing after him and leaving the tribe as well but as she was the favorite of her father and mother she stayed in hopes of doing some good. Three years later a new Nuhn was named as her father was defeated in battle. And due to the hatred between her and the new Nuhn she spoke out against him only to find that due to the influence of the Nuhn the leader of the tribe came to sentence her to death but on the behalf of her father and mother they convinced the new Nuhn to lighten the sentence to exile and lashes. Leaving her in the Sagolii desert she weakly traveled to back to Ul’dah to find her brother. I thought I would include a little about myself as a role player...... Amount of RP: Heavy , always in character but Iwelcome walk ups Views on RP combat and injuries: As long asit ICly makes sense and isn't a product of GMing. I'm not opposed to my characters facing death or near death experiences. Views on IC romance: Romance is a part oflife and RPing. I was looking through this thread and by the way, these suggestions I will keep in mind if I ever decided to use the echo in my character's story. I have one question for this seemed like the appropriate thread to post this question but how would you all explain to another that they were able to experience the echo? For example a friend ic'ly said she faced Ifrit but managed to come back without being turned into his thrall...what would you tell them?

I am a returning player and looking to get back into role playing on final fantasy. I will probably log on tonight and create a new character but I wanted to ask if there are any friendly role playing free companies that would be willing to help a returning player get back onto his feet?
