  1. I have a couple of potatoes to share. My newest one: But I also have these:
  2. Hmm, I think sometimes people are like this because your and their personalities don't mix? People can sometimes put up a front when you initially meet them (and perhaps appear super friendly), then as you get to know them, either you or they realize that you both have less in common than you both initially thought. I think that if that's the case, then you shouldn't ignore the person who you don't mesh well with, and at least say via tell or a letter that you can't be friends. I believe that's kinder than stringing someone along. But really, if someone's been treating you that way then they aren't worth keeping around as a friend. I think a lot of people like the idea of making genuine friends in MMO's, but honestly, I believe that unless you connect with the person on a deeper level, then you're more than likely just acquaintances. Perhaps the first time they're just busy. Especially if you're messaging, say, a popular roleplayer. I'd try maybe 2-3 times. After that, it quickly becomes apparent that they don't want to talk to you. I wouldn't be discouraged though. It takes work to get good friends, but an online game renders the search particularly difficult. You have people playing the game, roleplaying in the game, and doing AFK things. This naturally makes people distracted and stalls their replies. I think even with all of that going on that it's still a great platform for potential friendships *IF* you have things in common OOC that makes the friendship more solid.
  3. Ooo. Very cool to see some 3D modeling in here. I like the additions in the second picture.
  4. Aw, these are cool. Yay for Final Fantasy VI and Darkstalkers. :3
  5. Your art has so much character; I love it. *.* Now I want to try Emofuri, too.
  6. My friend and I totally took the light rail in and took pictures of cosplayers. I haven't been to Otakon in... 6 years? So I forgot all about the light rail. We snagged a pic of a cute lala couple, and another of a miqo'te!
  7. I used to work in an office on Charles Street. It's all a matter of timing and knowing where to park. Worst Case Scenario, Park and Ride on Eastern Boulevarde in Essex and take the 23 or the 40 quickbus. They'll put you within walking distance of the con. Or you could park anywhere along the Light Rail and take that in. Lots of options! Thanks for the advice! I'll figure it out once my friend and I decide if we're going or not.
  8. I'm not too far from Baltimore either. I was thinking of watching cosplayers at the inner harbor, because I didn't want to pay $80 when my friends didn't also have the money to join in. Parking would be horrible though.
  9. She welcomed the embrace and kiss, and smirked soon afterwards. "So this is what you do after work, huh?", she asked curiously. The lalafell woman paused for a moment, thinking, as she looked at the group of people. There was a bit of a mischievous twinkle in her eyes as she nodded her head. "Sure, I'll play!"
  10. The turquoise-haired lalafell rubbed her eyes as she took apeek into the Drowning Wench. Alulu wanted to drop in and say hello to Ruru before he came home, and had an inkling that this is where he would be. She blinked, a bit surprised, as she saw everyone sitting nearby and conversing. So this was what went on after work.. She was naturally shy, and unsure of new people, and she had only briefly met Kink and her companions, so it took courage for her to walk over. The lalafell woman smiled warmly as she approached Ruru. “Found you”, she said playfully.
