Well the cause can be some ancient incantation from one of Max's rare books. Also I would like it to be forum RP because some of us might not be able to get online, like me, but I guess it depends on the other people joining in.

Ok I am currently thinking up a set of guidelines for the RP just to end this battle. Whoever is opposed to the guidelines don't whine please. It's my first major RP event I'm hosting so go easy on me.

Ok but you got to factor in the fact that it costs RL money for a Fantasia, and some of us might not have enough money to get one or two. Maybe I misread or was just presumptuous; I thought this was gonna be a forum role-play since body-switching would be kind of odd to do in-game since it can't really be portrayed without Fantasias, either. Either way, if it was just going to be an imagined change anyway, Fantasias wouldn't actually be necessary regardless. It IS forum RP. This would not be done in-game; it would be done in the Town Square and it would be like an open thread.

Dude I plan to put OOC rules in the OP of the RP thread, be it within spoiler tags or not. The device that switches will be small, like an orb, and stuff like that can be very hard to find in a place like Ul'dah, so it could take a while. There will be a limit to what can happen in terms of content, like there might be groping if only to see if what just happened is true, but if they are not comfortable with it I will add that to the restrictions as well. As for upper limit, I don't know what number of people should it be. Where did the device come from, who put it there, who made the device, why would somebody leave that kind of device lying around, and if it wasn't just lying around, what's the agenda of the person leaving it there, such that it serves their interests to have random people switch bodies? Start with an upper limit of ten. Ok well the device would be an magical orb left behind by an ancient civilization (probably Allagans), and it would have been buried underground until it was dug up by accident.

Exactly. I would forbid anything that's too much like overly sexual stuff or heavy injury. The highest I would go might be just slight touching but nothing NSFW.

Well, I don't mean for people to get abused like that. My characters would actively be trying to fix everything before it escalates even more. They would try to rally those who have been switched to help them look for the device to reverse everything.

EXACTLY! It's just like that although this time the bodies themselves stay the same. It's the MINDS of people that get switched. Like person A's mind goes into person B's body and vice versa. It's viewing everything from a different perspective.

My god just lighten up. The basic plot would be that my characters find the body-swap device, they lose the device somewhere, and a lot of swapping happens. They then find all the people who got swapped and try to reverse the process together.

LOL well I'm still figuring that out. It would have to be something small that allows for other people to be swapped as well, like a small orb or something. Like some magic words could accidentally be said and the swap occurs, and something else reverses it all. Need other ideas as well that can help.

I'm just trying to bring some unique stuff here, and yes I'm trying to fix my signature being too big. I have a big imagination so these things just come to me. EDIT: FINALLY fixed my sig.

Dude it's supposed to be funny and unique. I don't think there's ever been a body-switching RP thing in RPC yet. I would love to have it done at least between my 6 characters, but it would be cool to see it happen amongst a lot more people, then all of them joining forces to reverse the process.
